Tilt is something every poker player struggles with, no matter the level. For me, the first step to dealing with it was simply recognizing when I was tilting instead of trying to push through it. If I lose a big hand or get unlucky in a spot, I take a short break — even just standing up, grabbing some water, and stepping away from the screen helps clear my head. Trying to force yourself to keep playing while tilted almost always makes things worse.
Another thing that really helps is setting clear stop-loss or session limits before starting. If I know I’ve hit my limit for the day, I stick to it, even if I feel like chasing losses. Over time, that discipline makes it easier to control emotions and avoid spewing chips. Tilt never goes away completely, but learning to manage it can make a huge difference in the long run.
