My bad habit for tilt.. is stop playing and Vape.
My good habit is to hit the gym.

Basically just to get out of my head, and refocusing before giving it another crack.

Tilt is a very complex topic.
For me, if I notice the triggers for tilt, is try to stop playing, good for cashgames and spin and go type tournaments.
In a tournament this is not so easy there best is to take a short break by making a note on player and hand and try to refocus.

Tilt used to crush my sessions, but I've learned to step back as soon as I feel it creeping in. A quick break, deep breaths, and reviewing my decisions help reset my focus. I also track emotional patterns post-session—knowing my triggers is key. It's all part of leveling up. Staying disciplined is the real edge.

Figure out why you are tilting. Self control is essential if you want to level up in this game. Keep in mind it is just a game so have fun. You can only control two things in this game, yourself and how you play. If there is a chance that your opponent can win the hand 5% of the time, then expect that they will win 5% of the time and you just have to move on when it does.

I keep busting my bankroll whenever I get the chance haha. When I’m on tilt, I usually just shut everything down and wait for the next session when I’m more chilled.

When tilt hits, I walk away for 10 mins—no exceptions. Deep breaths, maybe a quick meme break. Also, reminding myself ‘next hand, fresh start’ helps reset the mental game.

Take a break for ten minutes in silence and accept your situation when you are in tilt or for other reasons not bringing your a game to the table.

to avoid regretting on tilt, I end my day and start over the next day

Now I don't lose control of my emotions very often, I just review which hand I could have done better

If I play cash, I stop, and if I play tournaments, I just wait for the right situations.

I used to have terrible poker tilt but after over 50 years playing poker I have learnt that
I am going to have some bad beats and some suck outs and in the end it evens itself out so
I just take them both with a pinch of salt and carry on.

The best strategy for me is take a break, at least for few hours.

All losses that I have are acceptable to me and do not cause me anger, hatred, anger or other negative emotions. I play only with the money I can afford to spend, and I follow bankroll management. This is the key to keeping my emotions under control :)

I try to remind myself, that each session is a clean sheet, so it does not matter, what happened in the past session or the past 10 sessions. Maybe I move down a little, if my bankroll has suffered, to reduce the stress level and hopefully face softer competition. The idea of a "downswing" or "bad run" only exist inside our head. The cards dont have any such memory, and each hand dealt is independent on the previous ones.

Just don't play.. In the long run I'll probably save more than I lose from this. There's not much to tilt about in poker if you play within your bankroll and understand that it's a game of probabilities, not guarantees.
