I tried GTO Wizard’s Poker Arena and reached a 2000 rating with a win rate of 59 percent.

My GTOW score was around 75 percent, so I reviewed my hands and found that most of my mistakes were folding hands that I actually could have called.

They were technically mistakes, but not the kind that caused big losses, so I’ve decided not to worry about them too much for now.

How much do you guys stick to GTO in your own play?

The buyin levels I'm playing in, I'm doing my utmost to exploit the other players on the table and not necessarily trying to remain balanced while doing so.

I want to know what the GTO play would be ... & 'why' (ie. what sizing on certain boards in certain spots, etc. etc.) but I will deviate from what would be considered as 'optimal' based upon the opponents I'm playing.

GTO is a defensive strategy against good players. Its perfectly fine to mostly fold bluff catchers in spots, where the population or the specific opponent is underbluffing. Population tendencies will depend on, which games you are playing. At low and micro stakes there are lots of underbluffed spots, because the regs are mass multitabling and largely just playing their hand, and the fish dont like to fold big hands, when the money at stake is somewhat insignificant.

Fundamentally the theory is, that if you fold to much, your opponents can adjust by starting to bluff you more. But in lots of situations, that is just not happening, because the opponents have no idea, what you are doing. Maybe you are playing MTTs, and you play against different people all the time. So how are they ever going to find out, that you overfold to a raise on the river? Its just not happening.

Some things do become obvious quite fast though, especially if trackers are allowed. If you always fold to 3-bets preflop, that will show up on peoples HUDs after a few houndred hands, and then they will start to throw more light 3-bets at you. I certainly do that, whenever I see someone with a fold to 3-bet, that is way to high.

There is not a single GTO practitioner in the world who would not exploit his opponents. When we play against really top players, we balance our game as much as possible and strive for GTO so that we don't get exploited. We try to watch our opponent closely and see if they have some kind of leak that we might not notice right away. If we play against a weak opponent, we just exploit them.

GTO is a guideline for a 0 Sum play, it plays in so called equilibrium.
To win at poker you have to get the reads where equilibrium play is not +EV.
GTO Wizzard may help to find such spots meaning it may help to find exploitative moves.

It’s important to learn GTO so you can see who is deviating from it, then you can formulate a plan to exploit those players. Adjusting and exploiting are the goal.
