I’ve seen so many players bust their roll because they don’t follow bankroll management properly. I’m curious to know how you guys manage small bankrolls like $50, $100, or $500.
What’s your personal bankroll rule for micro stakes?

* Cash games: 30 x the full buyin
* Single table tournaments (STT): 50 x the buyin
* Multi table tournaments (MTT): 100 x the buyin

With a $50 bankroll I would play 2NL cash games or $1 STTs and stay away from MTTs. I would also strongly consider to add to the bankroll, when I get my next paycheck.

With a $100 bankroll I would still play 2NL cash games but might consider a few shots at 5NL, as soon as its above $100. When its above $150, I would move entirely to 5NL. For STTs I would play a mix of $1 and $2 games or $1.5 games, if thats the limit available. I would still stay away from MTTs and still consider to add to the bankroll, unless I was completely new to the game or doing some kind of challenge.

With a $500 bankroll I would play 10NL cash games or a mixture of $5 and $10 STTs, if these are the limits available. During weekends and days off I would mainly play MTTs with a buyin of $2.2-5.5 with the latter being a slight "shot".

Best Bankroll Management Tips for Micro Stakes
If you’re grinding freerolls or micro stakes, bankroll management is your lifeline. Here are some golden rules:
Separate bankroll from daily money : Never play with rent or food money.
Stick to proper buy-in rules :For tournaments, keep at least 100 buy-ins; for cash games, at least 30–40 buy-ins.
Take shots wisely : Move up only when you’re well rolled and ready to drop back if needed.
Avoid chasing losses : Stick to your limits, even after a bad beat.
Track your sessions : Know where your money goes, adjust when needed.
Bankroll management isn’t sexy, but it’s what keeps you in the game long enough to grow.

Interesting topic! I’m just starting to play spin & go flash games on GGPoker. What would be a good bankroll management rule for those games?

They are probably unbeatable due to high rake and bad structure, so I suggest thinking about a budget rather than a bankroll.
