Anyone have good luck at ACR?

fundiver is saying all the important and true things; I just want to throw in that, when it was still available in Germany, ACR seemed to me to like a particularly honorable poker site. No stupid gimmicks, transparent rakeback system, flat rakeback, and even round values that make it easier for you to see how large the rake is (like 10$+1$, rather than 9.05$ + 95ct). And the level of rake was reasonable as well. Basically not doing all of the scammy tricks that try to deceive people that I've come to expect (especially from GGPoker, but other sites as well). I almost felt like it respected me. Maybe it's gotten worse since, but if I could play anywhere and it was now like it was then, I'd play on ACR. Alas they've pulled out of Germany, so no luck.

Its still like that. As you say very transparent reward system including leaderboards, where you pretty much know, what it takes to get back $50, $125 or $250 playing either cash games or SnGs. The main problems, and the reason I have gone back to pokerstars at least for now, is a lack of activity during european daytime hours, and it has also become very reg infested with lots of russians etc.

The MTTs at ACR, BlackChipPoker, YApoker, and PokerKing are the fairest MTTs because they have the best structure, with many MTTs featuring 15-minute blind increases, giving the best players a better chance of getting better results. But at micro limits, you have to play cautiously, as villains will call with any hand. I was eliminated with KK vs. 74s, where villain with 64bb opened from UTG and called a 3-bet. The flop came villain's flush and my K. Winning MTTs also requires luck, to win all-in preflop, but this site's structure is the best; there are MTTs with 20-minute blind increases. In cash games I watch a video a lot that explains why we should play the pot size proportional to your hand, if you made a very strong hand you can play all your chips, a weak hand should play a small pot, we should not play a 200bb pot with AKo and that is what happens a lot, players hit K in a 3bet pot pre flop and think that their top pair is enough, usually when the villain calls a 3bet and the flop comes K T 5, most likely the villain has 2 pair or trips.

They used to have freeroll bounty tournaments where you got $1000 for knocking out a bounty. I was lucky enough to knock out the bounty…got my bankroll up to over $1200 without any deposit.

You should leave this "luck factor" behind and try to explore the best of each poker room. ACR now with Mystery Bountys has attracted a little more attention, but all rooms have their attractions!
