What system do you use when playing roulette?

I use flat betting.

I always wager 1 unit on even-money bets (red/black, odd/even).

I don’t double or raise aggressively, in order to avoid the risk of going broke quickly.

Focus: duration of play, not big wins.

My goal is to play as many spins as possible for fun.

If I catch a good streak and end up in profit (e.g. +50–100% of my bankroll), I stop.

Clear stop rules

Stop-loss: if I lose the entire set amount, I don’t take out more money.
Stop-win: if I reach a satisfying profit (e.g. $100 above what I brought), I walk away from the table.
Flat betting is “safer” if you apply it to even-money bets (red/black, odd/even) — the same average loss per unit, but with much lower volatility compared to number bets. If you want stability and risk control, choose even-money + a small fixed stake.

Online I play very rarely and as an amateur . I like betting to repeated numbers , the times that I won , very few , were the times that I bet on repeated numbers , which were repeated very often or even one after consecutively. I guess this must not be so random .

Why flat betting is the “cleanest” system:

It doesn’t give you illusions of control — you know clearly that each spin has the same risk and the same chance.
You protect your bankroll better than with Martingale or other progressive systems.
It gives you longer playtime, meaning more fun for the same amount of money.
It forces you to be disciplined and respect stop-win and stop-loss, which is the most important thing.
Basically, flat betting doesn’t promise big winnings, but it offers you control and psychological safety.

Nice! At least you know what you’ve bet on, and if one of those numbers comes up, then it’s worth opening a bottle of champagne for your wife, your child, etc.

It's not bad! but in the long run it is dangerous!Maybe you got it and you're lucky!Without a system it is hard to beat short-term roulette!

I once used Martingale and betting on 2/3 "thirds" of the field (either rows or columns), changing my bets to exclude the last winning row or column, and doubling up every time my bet lost. I ran up over $300 on poker stars from less than $5, wiping out all of my losses in poker there over the years. I thought I had found some kind of magic system, but then some crazy stuff started happening, like the roulette wheel repeatedly "choosing" the row or column I was not betting on for 5-10 times in a row. Which is crazy to think something like that can happen, but for whatever reason it does. And it will happen to you too if you try Martingale. I got my money out while I was still ahead, but on other sites (WPT Global, 888 in the past) I lost my bankroll trying this again. Doesn't seem to matter if it is the "offline" or the "live" versions of the roulette games either. Something just changes at some point and the wheel goes against the strategy.

By the way doubling down after losing on 50/50 bets like red / black does not work. Do the math. You end up winning only the original small bet:
lose 1 , bet 2 , lose 2 bet 4 , lose 4 bet 8.. say you win , get back 8 cost you 7

The whole point is just to keep winning over the long term. Unfortunately you will run into instances where your losing streak will break your bankroll. Ever seen 20 red in a row? I have.
