I like to play three card Guts(poker). I'm always open to pointers or strategies others may recommend. Do you have any suggestions? With AI in play now days I think the dealer has caught on to my strategy. When first Starting online I was raking in some $$. But it seems as if the more I play the more the dealer is beating me up.

Here is the way I usually play it. If I have an Ace and xx I call. Dealer needs a Queen or better to qualify. If I catch the dealer in a cold run I will call with a KTx. Sometimes even QJx if the dealer is cold. I have been winning like this but the winnings are getting lower and lower. I usually Play $1.00 and the call is $2.00. So $3.00 total per hand if I call. I will still always call with a A T x , Most of the time call with K Q x.

I am open to criticism on my strategy if someone out there thinks i'm making boo boo's.😂

So do any of you have a strategy you would like to share with us? Please Feel free to do so. Its not like your giving your opponent your game plan. We all have the same opponent when playing online casino's.

Peace,
Tony

Hey Tony,
I have posted about 3 card poker recently. Don't know if you saw it. But it was only about how the game goes. This is a nice follow up.
But there's something you did not mention, and I'd like to know a little more about it when it comes to strategy. It's the ante bet, which is mandatory if I'm recalling things right.

You have a Minimum and Maximum Ante. Whatever you chose to ante, When you recall, that bet is double the ante. At least all three card i've played had that betting rule. So if you ante $1.00 ,the recall would be $2.00. If dealer qualifies and you beat him you win $5.00 if im not mistaken, if dealer does not qualify he pays just

what you bet on ante $1.00 and the recall bet back like a push in Black Jack. In three card a Straight beat a flush also, if you didn't know. The Dealer pays extra for Straights and 3 of a kind. The 3 of a kind usually pays off very good. You just need to look at the rules because depending on where you play there may be slight differences in the payout.

If that didn't answer the curiosity let me know. I'll dig a little deeper. I am not an expert on three card but i do play often. I do win often enough to make it worth while. One more thing, Don't get greedy. If you start with ,say $20.00 and you win $15.00 quit and collect. If not that dealer will drag you down.

Thats been my experience. I wanted to win a fortune and found its a rabbit hole. Chasing and chasing, then chasing to get even. Yep I did it and lost me butt. So I always set a winning goal. For me its like the $20. go in with, if i'm up $15. i split with my winnings. You could crank that up as much as you want. I base it on 3/4 of what i start with.

I've not found three card at the casino yet. I play at ACR. When I do play.

Peace my friend,
Tony

Actually, I do have one more question.
Though I played it a couple of times at the casino, I don't remember if we could draw or exchange any cards.

I've never play Three Card Poker with an option to draw/exchange cards. There may be a form of it played somewhere but I have never seen it played like that. You always play the three you are dealt. On another note, If dealer doesnt qualify you get your bet back and ante plus dealer pays whatever the ante is. So you get 1:1 payout like that. Thats usually when the dealer starts tightening up. He wins 2 and lets you win one that dealer didn't qualify so you are'nt keeping up with him winning all your bet and only payout the ante bet. If a dealer starts getting you in a situation like that ,for me, its time to give it up.

I'm glad you are interested in the game. Its fun and its pretty fast , You can win quick or lose quick. Not as fast as BJ but still pretty fast.
We should of combined our threads. I would of just posted in yours if I would have seen it first. I posted in yours about why the Q to qualify.
Peace my Friend,
Tony.

I made an error in the betting amounts. It would be $1.00 ante and the bet is $1.00. Now I know that I've played somewhere where the Call bet was double what you ante. As often as the dealer doesn't qualify its his advantage .
