Yesterday when Daniel Petersen was hunting for the final table seat something very unexpected happened during his stream.

Every player at the table had a momentary chip increase. Daniel had only 17,8 blinds which was suddenly turned into 113,7 blinds.

You can see it here after time stamp 6 hours 38 minutes.

Weird. I wish that had happened to me, and I still had the chips after they sorted the problem. Obviously a software issue, but hopefully it doesn't happen again. Not during our games at least.

No not weird.

You should look at the tournament lobby, if the tournament has a so-called “Featured Final Table” you will have an adjusted blind structure.

Just look at the tournament info last entry in the table.

GG is not cheating, and it is not rigged.

Look for this feature in your client's language. Clicking the (i)nfo logo will give the info box I showed.

CChat freebuy´s don’t have this feature, see last screenshot.

Sure it's weird.

I believe that any adjusting that might happen is carried out just before (or at the same time) the final table starts.

Br

This happened when there were 18 players left.
If it had been a real adjustment the changes would have stayed instead of going back and forth.

This has nothing to do with what happened.
Did u even watch the clip linked? It was before the final table and a clear glitch that only lasted a few seconds.

Noone itt claimed they are cheating or that its rigged.

They did not have a chip increase, but the conversion from chips to big blinds was wrong. This is obviously confusing, but there is a very simple solution, which is to shift the display from BB to chips, which is anyway the standard display. In a live tournament players also have for instance 2 million chips in front of them, and its up to the players themselfes to calculate, how many big blinds this corresponds to.

For the record the software on pokerstars does this regularly but only when moving you to a new table, and only until the first hand is dealt. It seems like, the software in this situation goes back to the original starting blinds of the tournament when calculating the number of BB in each players stack, but when a hand is dealt, the correct blind size is again used, so it does not really matter.

Interesting
But after taking a third look I concur. The actual chip amount does not change.
I've never witnessed this in my own games.
