Long enough. It's a sum of ( freeroll availability + your skill set + variance ).
At least a year but probably longer. Who knows for sure?

Depending on how many poker rooms there are and how many freerolls there are... And so much free time...)

There are plenty of freerolls to play at different poker rooms, but if you only want to play at one room, it will take a while to get the $500.

Wow cool challenge, well the good news is that it's def. possible. It's a bit easier with a small investment of $10 to $25, since freerolls take a lot of time usually. You need some guidelines though, to help you formulate them let me ask you this:
  1. In what timespan are you planning to do this?
  2. How much time do you plan to spend weekly?
  3. Which variant of poker will you play?
  4. What stakes will you play?
  5. What is your estimated winrate there?
  6. Do you plan to study as well, if so how?
Best of luck!

It really depends on a few factors — your skill level, how often you play, the size of the freeroll prize pools, and the platforms you’re using.

Realistically, building a $500 bankroll only through freerolls can take months or even over a year for most players. That’s because freerolls often have hundreds or thousands of players competing for small prize pools (like $25 to $100). Even a solid finish might earn you just a few cents or dollars.

My tips to speed it up:

Focus on high-value freerolls like CardsChat’s, or those with low player fields.

Play consistently and treat each freeroll like a real-money game — avoid autopilot.

Gradually move into micro-stakes games when your bankroll allows (e.g., $0.10–$0.50 buy-ins).

Track your progress and study your hands.

Personally, I treat freerolls as training and an opportunity to build discipline. The money comes slowly, but it teaches patience — and that’s worth a lot in poker.

How long does it take to build a 500$ bankroll playing only freerolls???
Personally, it would take me about 5-7 months to do this. But I am a member of the community and have access to platinum freerolls. I think it all depends on how intensively you are willing to play, how many sites you will play on, and what freerolls you have access to.

On average, I make about $50-70 per month exclusively from freerolls. So I could accumulate $500 in about 8 months. But to be honest, I don't play as much as I could. If I tried really hard, I think I could reach my goal in as little as 5 months.

On average, for a decent player that puts in a lot of volume and plays all possible freerolls, I think it would take between a year and two years.

In my case, if I remember correctly, it took me about 2-3 months. I played 5-7 freerolls a day.

This is possible, but take time and you can't be withdrawn
I recommend you make $100 with freerolls and play Cash Game 1/2 cents
That way you'll reach $500 faster.

I think you should consider freerolls as playing just for fun poker. It's very difficult to make the money, your good hands get cracked by some random recreational player who plays any 2 cards. Deposit some money and play 1-2 cents and try to build your bankroll that way. That way you also improve your game.

Сколько времени нужно, чтобы накопить банкролл в 500$, играя только во фрироллах???
It can take a very long time to accumulate a $500 bankroll by playing only freerolls, and the lifespan depends on the number and size of the freeroll prize pools, your luck and, most importantly, your ability to play. I think this could take from a few months to several years

It seems like a lot of time. I think freerolls give us a minimum bankroll to keep playing.

How long does it take to build a 500$ bankroll playing only freerolls???
Its not possible to do this. The reason is, that a bankroll is an amount of money, which if managed properly (bankroll management) will reduce the risk of a winning player to go broke. But if you only play freerolls, you will learn very little, and you will almost certainly be a losing player the same moment, you try to move to regular games. So the 500$ will not be a bankroll. It will just be money in your poker account, which you will lose again, unless you stop playing and withdraw it.

The only way to build a bankroll is to first become a winning player by practicing in normal games and THEN start the bankroll building process. If you want to go the tournament route you can deposit 100$ on pokerstars and then start to grind away at the 1$ On Demand SnGs. If you drop below 50$, top up your account. If you manage to grow it to 150$, now you have already begun the bankroll building process and can consider moving up to 2$ games.

Could be a day, a week , a month, a year, a decade, or never.
This is the best answer, I personally won entry to 10k PKO through free satellite after finishing first and took $1514, besides that I had several times $500-1000 from free games per month, and currently I started a new challenge and after 2 months I'm at about $90.

it depends on how many freerolls you play and what kind of freerolls, I remember 2 years ago there were ACR freerolls where you could save that amount in 2 weeks.

How long does it take to build a 500$ bankroll playing only freerolls???
It all depends on your persistence and willingness to work. If you play freerolls, for example on 888, and play them for at least 10-12 hours, then I think you have every chance of increasing your bankroll to $500 in just 4-5 months. And if you are a member of our platinum club, you can do it even faster.

You would be able to ladder up to your goal quicker if you played just a microstake game... But overall I think you have to use good game selection and find the free rolls that have the best prizes, I have seen some free rolls where first place is like $100+, but those are rare

As much as you are improving your poker skills the most easier and faster you can reach a target, it depends from you!
