Hi, I'm currently playing Spin & Gold on GGPoker and I can say it is good, but I think it is harder than most part of people think...
The profit depends on how good you are at the game, but if you consider yourself a true beginner, I would recommend you to choose between cash game (if you want something more flexible and with less variables (as tournaments, that has ICM, for example) and Sit & Go, because it is a small version of the classic tournaments, and you can apply everything you are learning about tournaments easily.
Both are really good, but you need to study a lot, as all game types, obviously...

Almost everything is better than Spin & Go's if you want to be a winning player in poker. The edges are almost non-existent, and the variance is huge.
There are also numerous stables and teams that provide charts, special HUDs, and coaching to their students and "horses".
Only play them for fun or if you get a free ticket.

I've been playing Spin and Go for a long time, and I really don't recommend it, I've lost enough there hahahaha, the variance is very high and the players are a little “crazy”, they pay with any hand, which makes it more difficult, but since I don't have much time to play it's what I play the most, I would say it's much better to play tournaments if you have time, even so tournaments have their disadvantages, such as the large number of hours you have to spend playing to win something

There are many factors that influence the red line and you don't need to get hung up on it, the main thing for you should be Chips-EV, and you can keep the red line at 0.Spins can reward very exploitative strategies that can be repeated due to the very fast format. First HoldEm to learn how it works, to have patience and because this art of game is easy to overview. Later playing other games, and always first only high version, and then H/L versions. They take more time to thinking about what you have, what you can have and how to play.

Spin & Go's are the absolute worst game to start with. They are a special form of gambling tailored specifically to adrenaline junkies and addicts. There's a reason GGPoker provides a free game every day, and it's not to help newbies develop into world class poker players.
As others have said - full ring SnG's and cash games are a good way to start. Cardschat freerolls (when the password has not been shared to the world) are a great way to begin with tournaments. They represent a middle ground between an SnG and a full scale tournament.
As far as a variant - I personally think Omaha Hi/Lo is the best. I play these as cash/ring games all the time and also as a tournament when I know I'm going to have a few hours to play non-stop. It's very different from NLHE and requires a few unique strategies.

If you’re just starting out, I suggest focusing on one of the “core” formats like No-Limit Hold’em cash games or tournaments. They have the biggest player pools, they’ll give you the fundamentals you need before branching out.
