AK vs TT is a classic flip: around 55% vs 45%. That difference is close to the home team win rate in brazil’s soccer league (Serie A), where home teams win about 52% of the time.

I think a flip is most likely two players going all-in preflop and when their cards are shown they both have stats against each other between the 40% - 60%. Anything more or less means that one is leading preflop, because he has a way higher percentage preflop.

In poker, a “flip” or “coin flip” refers to a situation where two hands have roughly equal chances of winning — typically around 50/50 — much like flipping a coin. The most classic example is a pair (like pocket 10s) versus two overcards (like AK). In this case, the pair is slightly ahead preflop, but the overcards have nearly the same chance of hitting and winning. Flips are common in tournaments, especially when short stacks are all-in, and players must gamble with marginal advantages. Though not always exactly 50/50, the term “flip” is used broadly to describe close preflop showdowns where no hand is a big favorite.

I think a flip comes down to one hand needing to hit and one hand needing to fade, where the hand needing to hit does have enough outs that it is close to 50 percent chance of getting there.

Playing poker, you can lose even with the best hand, you need to understand this and be prepared for anything, although in football, too, sometimes a great team loses to the worst.

A flip is always 50/50, if you play against AA, and you have 72 the flip is simply 50/50
or you win the hand or you lose, that makes it 50/50 .

Flips are those things we have to win about 8 times in a tournament to win! Too bad I only win 1/3 of them lol

On the flip pre flop you both have the same chance of winning the pot, in my opinion , two over cards against a pair in a hand always has about a 50% chance

You're right: AK vs TT is a classic coin toss scenario in poker. AK has about a 45-46% chance of winning, and TT has about a 54-55% chance, assuming there's no flush and he goes all-in preflop. The difference is about 10%.

In flips, it all depends on the situation. Figuring out the combinations is a real pleasure.
