Is poker gambling or a sport?
For me, poker is more of a sport than a game of chance. I play primarily for the sake of winning, and winning is the main motivation for me. Although unfortunately, I've been able to win very rarely lately :)

Hi :)
In my opinion, poker is definitely not a sport. Poker is a game of chance, and those who play it are gamblers, not athletes. Although sports and poker have some similarities, they are essentially two completely different activities.

In my opinion, poker is an intellectual card game.

Poker is a sport of mental skills; the one who wins is the one who studies and practices this game a lot, and their skills become stronger over time.

Poker is a sport, but an intellectual sport, like chess. Poker is also a game of chance, of course, but my approach to this game is more like that of an athlete than a gambler :)

Poker is not a sport. Poker is a game of chance, nothing more and nothing less. For me, poker is a hobby, but in general, a hobby that brings profit is an ideal option, I think, for anyone who plays.

I think it's not a sport, but a game that depends on situational awareness, where a person can become skilled enough to be a profitable player. The fact that the best players are often the profitable players leads me to believe it is not gambling, but like many card games it does have a significant amount of luck involved also.

I don't think it fits the sport category. It's a game. One that can be played using money.
All sports and games can be used as a format for gambling. Make sure to do so responsibly.
Poker is a game that commonly uses a monetary system to keep track of position in game. But it is not necessarily necessary.
slots machines and roulette are straight up gambling games. No real tactics, just bet. Like a lottery. Bet, Win, Lose.
Gambling on the dogs or horses, 1st past the post. Though you have more information on the animals. They do the sport we play the statistics game on that. Bet, Win, Lose.
Standard team sports bets tend to have more bias as you tend not to bet against home. Bet, Win Lose.
Poker (live especially) is a game closer to chess. Being much more involved in the games development as it progresses. Deciding to make a move or not.
Games are generally mentally exhausting.
Sports are generally physically exhausting.
Pub games such as snooker, pool, darts are a bit of both. Still i rate them more in the game category, though they seem to be getting more recognition as sports these days.
Even stocks are played like games these days.
Gambling doesn't just apply to sports and games. And it isn't always monetary.

I would say it's more of a game. Sports can be games. Games can have skill levels and elements of chance, just like sports. Sports require physical exertion. Of course, there is contention in exertion, but this is a stretch compared to its conventional interpretation.

I think poker is gambling, just play it for fun, then it's ok

In my opinion, poker is a sport and does not depend on luck, but on knowing which hands to play, knowing how to read your opponent to make the best move and always studying and practicing.

It has nothing to do with sport . It's just a gambling game . A game of luck and skill or even of rng . But not a sport .

Is poker gambling or a sport?
The question is individual.
I don't consider poker a sport. For me, it's a game of chance. Those who play are gamblers, and I definitely don't consider these players to be athletes. Although I recognise that everyone has the right to determine for themselves what poker is for them.
