What do you think about this topic my friend, I'll ask you 2 questions.

1 With all the expenses paid what would you do?
2 You only win the ticket but you have to cover the expenses.

For both, or for a specific one, would you sell part of the ticket and offer a certain percentage? How much would you be willing to sell? Or do you take risks and go all in?

Your title and the questions don't quite match up, as you seem to be asking different things.

For #1 on your list, what are the options? Keep or exchange for cash value? I suppose it would depend on a couple of things:
  • How big is the tournament?
  • Is it a buy-in that is typically above my bankroll?
  • When would I have this opportunity again?
  • If I exchanged it for cash value, would it be more valuable to me?
I guess I'd determine whether or not I could realistically make the money based on skill and field size. And if that wasn't important to me, whether or not the experience of going and playing is more valuable to me than just taking a cash payout. I'd probably go for it, personally.

For #2 - that has to depend on whether you can afford to go. I probably wouldn't play in a satellite tournament for a live event unless it was something that I would be able to get to.
