Thursday done.

The hearing was not what I expected, it was more encouraging in some ways than I thought it would be. My concern would be that if the tribes don't get the biggest piece of the pie, it could hold up a bill. I also think they are more interested in internet gaming vs internet poker so if the UIGEA is strengthened by a poker only bill that might not be in their best interest.

My humble cliffs on the hearing are here: https://www.cardschat.com/forum/pok...ll-may-discussed-tomorrow-212465/#post1933791

Done. On another note. Rich, I saw that you posted the article about the potential full tilt sale on your FB. I'm assuming that this means you think it is likely to be legit?

Yes, it definitely went well! I am somewhat concerned that the bill could get held up, but I do think everyone involved knows time is running out for federal legislation. If it doesn't happen now, states will do it, cutting out many tribes.

I think the reporting is legit, but anything can happen. Hopefully everything will go through this time.

Is everything in these action plans on Twitter, Facebook, and the like? Have never used and never will use any of those sites. Held out this long with IRL friends about Facebook.

Pretty much but you CAN sign the poker petition and go to the PPA and send letters to your reps and senators.

Explain exactly what this is for. I mean, poker is legal on internet in most states which is a surprise knowing that lot of states in the US do not allow gambling. Don't mean to sound say dumb here, but just wanting to see what you see.

This may surprise you, but I don't use Twitter or Facebook IRL either. :) When asked about this in the past, I've noted that one would not go fishing with steak or some other food we like as bait. We'd , of course, use bait the fish like. Similarly, our actions are focused on what politicians listen to, and our total ownership of social media has paid nice dividends.

The great thing here is that we don't have to use Facebook and Twitter IRL to participate in the action plan. Signing up for accounts to be used solely for the action plans is quick and easy, and I promise you won't have to post your vacation pictures on Facebook or tweet them out.

Let's all ask the DoJ for a simple, streamlined process for repayment of FTP funds. DoJ has all the players' names and all the account balances, so they should wish to make the process as simple as possible. Additionally, PPA's legal team will remain fully involved as the ‘voice of the player’ to ensure we are all heard throughout this process. So, let's all do our part here:
  1. Let's send prefilled, editable pro-poker tweets to the DoJ HERE and HERE.
  2. Let's recruit new participants by retweeting & favoriting today's #Fight4Poker action plan HERE and HERE, sharing it on our Facebook walls HERE, and sharing it via Google+ HERE.

Thanks for tweeting them TF. I try to set the tone with the tweets, but am happy when they are edited to make them suit the sender.

Let's all tell the DoJ we want repayment of FTP funds based on our balances on the site, not on deposits made.
  2. Let's recruit new participants by retweeting & favoriting today's #Fight4Poker action plan HERE, sharing it on our Facebook walls HERE, and sharing it via Google+ HERE.
  3. Let's like the pro-poker posts from the past two days on the Facebook walls of Sens. McConnell, Cornyn, and Blunt: HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Done.

"I ask that you please base full tilt poker victim compensation on player balances which is only fair. Poker is not a crime."
