I was born early in the morning after my mother played poker all night…her water broke while playing, so she went to the hospital and I was born. Fast forward 19 years and I’m playing poker in the reading room at university instead of going to class…might be the reason I ended up working for the government. My mother was an incredible poker player…back then the game was 7 card stud…Texas Hold’em did not yet exist…after retirement, my parents would stay 3 months in Las Vegas, playing poker every day…the manager at The Horseshoe offered my mother a job as a dealer…she declined because she made more money playing…so, the long and short of it that poker is in my DNA…I was never as good as her , but I managed to cash in my one and only
wsop event in the 2019 WSOP Colossus…for most players, poker will not be a profession, but we play for the love of the game…the competition, the excitement, the adrenaline rush.
That’s my story of my poker Genesis…more mundane than biblical.
