Your Favorite Poker Variant

Most people play Texas Hold'em, but there are so many other fun games like Omaha, Stud, or Short Deck. Which poker variant do you enjoy the most and why?

Sounds like you're looking to mix things up! I can appreciate that. I've always stuck with Texas Hold'em, honestly. It's the game I know best, and the strategy runs so deep. I feel like there's always something new to learn, even after playing for years. It's tough to beat the feeling of a well-played bluff or a big value bet. I've tried a few rounds of Omaha, but the four-hole-card thing messes with my head a bit. Maybe one day I'll get into it, but for now, Hold'em is where I'm at.

My favorite variant is No Limit Holdem, several years ago I played a lot of 2-7 limit draw on pokerstars, when this room was the best

I like PLO because it allows me to avoid risk, as the betting limits don't force me to go allin and miss.

I enjoy Omaha for the action and all the possibilities, but I still prefer Texas Hold'em. I think the balance between strategy and psychology in it is unique.

Texas holdem for sure. Its classic, most popular, and has the most interesting game theory in my opinion. Its not the most popular card game for no reason.

Definitely Sit&Go tournaments in the DoN version and MTT Holdem tournaments in the Freezout version
