I believe that poker is a sport. I think poker is a sport like chess or e-sports. I understand that poker is primarily a game of chance, but that doesn't stop it from having all the characteristic elements of a real sport.Explain..
Exactly. And I am more in the camp, that the word "sport" should indicate some sort of psysical activity / movement, whereas poker, chess, backgammon etc. should be defined as games. Therefore I also dont think, that either of those belong in the olympics for instance.Ultimately, it all comes down to definitions.
Anyone who considers race car driving as not having a physical stress element is ignorant of the sport -anyone who thinks there is no variance in "physical sports" also does not understand all the aspects of what they are referring too.Would you consider fatigue, endurance and discipline phgsical elemenst? These are the same factors that are major in sports.
If it onvokves any type of fatigue and endurance I would definitely consider it a sport. Thats like some people say Nascar isn't a sport because your just driving. Skill, strategy, endurance, fatigue are all in major sports and if that player lacks any of it they are defiantly having a bad or will have a bad game
Depends on how you see the game.
I hope so
