I think having some bad beats is part of the variance but when there are too many in one day it becomes stressful.

Had another player got anger after folding the winning hand at the flop I had the same hand and persisted and won a big pot at the river. Was critical asking why I called and didn’t fold to a large bet on the flop like he did
I was too happy to win the pot to respond
Next time. I going to say
“ Sorry buddy I hear you You are piss off for not winning that pot. Play your own game and let me play me own game”.
“Buddy if I want poker lesson I will ask for it”

We are all humans and as long as we have not some damage in emotional way it will be normal to get angry if we loose. The difference in my opinion is the strength of personality and the way to hide your anger better then others.:D

Anger is a negative emotion that eats away at your soul.

It makes me kind of sad when I read posts by people who say how angry they get when they lose. Now that is something I just don't get at all. There is no benefit at all in getting angry....in fact quite the opposite. Anger is such a negative emotion...it will have you on monster-tilt in no time at all, which can end up being really expensive!!!!

It is so much better to take a deep breath, relax, and think about the hand....like, did I do anything wrong? What could I have done better? You cannot think clearly like that in a fit of anger, so you end up repeating the mistakes and getting more angry and losing more money and so on. KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON !!!

Anger is part of our life, in some moments you will feel angry for something that you did or happened, but this feeling cannot last for long. Sometimes it's easy to talk about why to be angry, but it's inevitable, we're going to be angry, because we lost that hand at poker or something else. You at that moment have to vent, scream, get angry, but at that moment, after all, we are human. Good luck at the table everyone.:)

Yeah, take a break. Calm down. Get collected. However long it takes: an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year. Sometimes you just have to get some distance.

I find that sometimes anger helps you regain your chips... but not always.

I am a person with the perfect combination of chaos: I am distracted, clumsy and unlucky.
Bad beats in poker are the least of my problems, I really want to win and sometimes I get very close and lose badly, I get really upset.
But I only get upset when I play badly, when it's about the game, I accept it with resignation.

On the other hand, if the fishes are not going to get mad, how can I get them to call my pocket aces? :ROFLMAO: This is a strategy for many players to get a good balanced player out of the balance.

So true! You can usually tell when some players are pissed off enough to call any bet with any hand. If you happen to have pocket Aces when that happens then you just have to take advantage of the moment.

Anger can be incredibly counterproductive, especially in high-stakes or competitive situations. It's so important to approach losses as learning opportunities rather than letting them trigger negative emotions. By staying calm and reflective, you can analyze what went wrong, learn from it, and improve your strategy for next time.

I think it's only newer players who get really angry... I once had a lady screaming at me and wanted to kill me cuz she had the Ace of hearts and they gave the pot to me.... problem was it was Omaha and she only had the Ace and no other heart..

I see this thread is a few years old so it would be interesting to see if the people posting here feel the same way now, I mean you want bad calls, you just don't want them to hit but it happens👍

Everyone has the right to get angry if they lose to a good card, although I react differently and suppress unnecessary emotions

I struggle when I lose after all in on turn 95% win and still lose. Well, actually not that hand. Just about the 5th or 10th where I'm 80% chance and lose every one of them

You are absolutely right. People are mostly very stupid, unfortunately. They are angry, nervous and jealous. People accumulate negativity and thereby only harm themselves and others. We all, and the whole world, would be a much better place if only the majority of humanity thought like you. But, unfortunately, this is not the case.

I agree. Anger rarely gets you anywhere, other than sometimes jail. Stroke and heart attack also come to mind.

It helps using a poker calculator for me to regain balance. Often the odds are a lot closer than one would intuit. For instance AKs against 72u still gives the 27 a 30% chance.

That said, what really gets my goat is when you know you have someone because you have watched their bidding and they are still invulnerable

90% and I'm out. What makes this highly suspicious is how would someone after that flop stay in the bidding? System account?
