Just play several tournaments at the same time. No problem with boredom anymore.
Got out at 5th with 8$ PP could've ended with 30$ but that's fine got a bankroll at WPT could increase it by playing hypers whose payout is more and lasts for 2.5 hrs

I know what you mean. How about cash games? No handcuffs when it comes to tournament philosofy of tryin to go deap, that money could only be made if you avoid taking unnecessarily risks, meaning you fold much. That is not what i want to do or see others doing. I like to win with aces, win with 10 5of first hand right after that,- or lose, and try again with next hand if i want to. :)

Haste leads to mistakes. Players who wait patiently for good cards have a better chance of a good result. It all depends on your goals. If your goal is to have fun, you can just play every hand. If your goal is to increase your bankroll, then you have to be patient and wait for strong cards.
Don't ask how to make the opponents set the goals you like :)

I know still I did not played bad it was just final table and my approach was wrong I started playing loose against those tight players but when they re raised or went all in I just ignored and called I know my mistakes will be working to stay patient have come a long way still more to go as I switched from cash games where I could play for 30 mins or so made few dollars and left started playing tournaments few months ago so it's quite difficult to get into the habit of sitting for long sessions

am good at cash games but even after earning a lot I find it difficult to get out like I set a goal of playing till make my 5$ to 30$ I did it in 30 mins still I sat there hoping that these fishes can give me more and there comes a point when these players really have a good hand and I can't get away from my hand either and everything turns around now I'm down to 1 or 2 $ in after a single hand and leave with negative bankroll to be precise im a gambler

I once played wpt global freeroll for five and a half hours finished third, it was a lot of hours for me at that moment I was physically and mentally tired because I was playing on my phone but paid tournaments on wpt global are faster, for example, in an hour and a half you're already in a bubble if I'm not mistaken

From your nickname and the way you play, we can assume that you are quite anxious!

Patience is the key in poker, there is no way around it if you want to improve!

You need to find ways to distract yourself while playing... (well... it works for me, to take your mind off the game, at least when making simple decisions).

Playing multiple games should also help you to get less bored.

I haven't played live poker for many years but I think if I tried to play nowadays, I would die of boredom.

Try doing other activities during your session like studying, watching gossip, the news, playing puzzles... It works for me, maybe it can work for you!

You choose and decide which freerolls you want to play. If a freeroll with 52 players is boring for you, you don't have to play it. Instead, you can take part in a freeroll with 500 players, and then you probably won't be bored.

It is important to understand why you play in poker. For example, I play to get results at all costs as I need money to survive. Of course, it's always a choice between playing more hands, risking more, and thus earning more chips than other players, or playing more cautiously on the mistakes of players who came to the tournament to play for fun.

Good players do not easily give up their chips to their opponents. They know that their strategies also depend on the combinations of good cards that come into their hands. They know when to bluff and when to abandon their hands, as it seems that they have studied how to play poker in a way that allows them to be winners. If you want to play poker with good players and just rely on luck, you will surely lose.

You can't win a 3hour tourney in 2 hours.

I can guarantee you have a ton to learn. Why not fill your time up this way.

Poker is about making adjustments to the situation (each & every turn to act). If you can't even make adjustments to the structure of the tournament I don't know what to say. Maybe don't play tournaments.

fwiw, I don't think many players are playing the freerolls based on their best hourly earnings potential (although I suppose for many it is their best hourly earning potential as they might not be able to beat any of the buyin games on the sites). I'm guessing many people play the CC ones because they feel like competing in a friendly forum game. Some others are trying to build a bankroll. And some others are using the money to eat. And some others seem to be drunk every single game (or they have something wrong with them mentally perhaps... who knows?). Whatever it is, I try to respect each and play accordingly in the ones I participate in.

Observing other players is important ,the more time the tournament takes the more information has been expoused for all players.

Winning online poker is pretty boring most of the time, since it involves a lot of folding and other boring stuff. Its not about making the most fancy moves, so you can pretend, you are Daniel Negreanu or Phil Ivy. There is a reason, many refer to it as a "grind". So I guess, you just need to figure out, why you are playing. And if its for entertainment, then just play, whatever keeps you entertained. Maybe some Spin n Gos? As others have said, multitabling is also an option.

Just play the format your love, if you dont like deep and slow MTTs just skip them. I recommend you to play turbo and hyper stngo's, its a small field and fast pace.

^^ What he said! I could write it again, but just read the post above me twice. I would only add that from watching and learning your opponents, you find out many things that come in handy. Every step of learning is important, if you want to play poker over gambling.

That's poker, you just have to adapt. If you find these types of tournaments boring, then you might find the big payouts just as boring. Just try to have fun.
