Hey everyone,

We all love pocket Aces, of course — but I’m curious:
What’s your favorite “non-premium” starting hand to play and why?

Maybe it’s a suited connector that hits big, or just a hand that brings you luck.
For me, there's something about 9♠️10♠️ that feels smooth to play — lots of potential if the board cooperates.

Would love to hear what hands you enjoy and how you like to play

If I had to pick just one, it would be JT suited. Any straight with it is the nuts, It is relatively easy to get away from it is misses the flop, It usually wins big pots when it wins.

Q9o because it is the hand that I called an all in pre flop that made me win a top mystery bounty of 1500 dollars.

It depends on what I'm playing and even more on who is at my table :)

We all have that hand that we like to play even if it's not the best one in theory. In my case, I love the 9 ♠ 10 ♠ — same-pole connectors. It's not a premium hand, but when it connects well, it can give beautiful surprises: stairs, color, doubles... And the best part is that hardly anyone expects it. Obviously, you have to know when to throw it away too, but every time I see it, it brings a smile to my face.

I am always delighted when I see “AK” in my hands. It is an incredible pair of cards that can be successful if played correctly. Why specifically “AK”? I once won a key hand in a very important tournament on pokerstars with these cards. :)

If I were to prefer a hand other than a premium hand, it would be under 9 usually consecutive cards like 78, 56 etc and if it were also for the flush it wouldn't bother me. There would be another important point... not to have to invest too much in it. I would avoid 8 to J so I don't have to fall drastically when a big card comes on the board....which is usually in the opponents hand.

My favorite starting hand is AK, I think it's a very strong hand even against hands like QQ or JJ

KK! Which seems to frequently get screwed by a small ace shoving!

87s, no one expects that such a hand is played especially when another 7 or 8 is on the flop and it brings good chances for a straight or flush. And when there is a big raise, and I hit nothing its easy to fold. Btw, July 8 is my birthday
