What's your favorite poker variant?

Right now, mine is definitely PLO8. I love having to run with multiple simultaneous strategies.

PLO8 is a great choice! Balancing split strategies adds an exciting layer of complexity to the game.

I guess I play Texas Hold'em because it is always readily available and fairly simple to play. When I started plating poker in 1st year university in 1972, the main game was 7 card stud. What makes stud so hard is that you have to keep track of all the other players' cards, including the face-up cards that are folded. The concentration level is so much greater than for Hold'em.

I played NL Hold'em the most over NL Omaha, so it's definitely a top for me.

Only recently I got into other variants like PLO8 and 7-Card Stud - Hi-Lo, playing more would probably rank them up for me, I just have yet to understand them completely. 😅

Definitely Sit and Go in the DoN format. Unfortunately, this format is disappearing and fewer and fewer poker rooms offer it.

NLHE MTTs FTW. Cash NLHE is too strong with few edges in its current state while PLO is too sensory overload for me, can't think much about strategy when 80% of my brain power is involved in trying to figure out what kind of a hand i hold.
