Hey CardChat family! 👋

We’ve all had those hands that just won’t leave our memory — whether it was a crazy bluff gone wrong, a brutal cooler, or a hero call that actually worked. 🎭

For me, it was pocket kings… I shoved preflop, feeling super confident, and of course my opponent had the only hand that crushes me — aces. 😅 The worst part? It happened right on the bubble. 💔

I still think about that one sometimes… like, what if I had played it differently? 🤔

So I’m curious:
What’s the one poker hand that still haunts you?

Was it a bad beat?

A mistake you made?

Or maybe an epic win that you’ll never forget?

This happened to me a day before yesterday, we were super deep in the tournament nearing a fat money jump.
I opened pocket aces to 10 big blinds from UTG get called by 2 player(Hijack and BB).The flop was 6 8 9 the hijack goes all in for his remaining 80BB, offcourse I called he had 7 9.I got outflopped on the turn as he made a straight.

For me it's A9 .
Was years ago in a live tournament.
I was on bb just a min raise from the Button so I called.
Flop comes A89( 89 was in spades)
Villain bets I raise , he calls.
Turn another A . I bet 2/3 of the pot he thinks a while and goes allin with QJ of spades. ... I quickly call ofc.
River is a freaking T of spades so he made the straight flush with his 1 outer and I lose with a turned Full House 🙄🙄🙄

I'm going to do a little exercise I learned at the university of poker, which is also the university of life, and I've been playing the best game in the entire world for 8 years... (poker), and over that time I have made a lot of mistakes, many for my taste, and I used to punish myself and keep self-flagging, something that, with experience and doing an exercise of common sense, I began to erase promptly from my memory... I began to forget soon I just took the time to try to correct and learn, then forget and continue as you do it in my own life I hope this small contribution will be useful

AK. I’ve had a lot of bad beats on replay with it so now I’m cautious and don’t go all in when I get dealt it .. I do raise the bet though.. but sitting at a real poker table, I would bet a lot more

It was the silver star freeroll in PS in 2011. Over 7200 entrants and I get to heads up with a 3.5:1 chip lead. A few hands into heads up I get villain in for all his chips with 66 vs my jj. Board runs out straight for his 66. I still had the chip lead when again all in wth AQ vs A8. Flop 588. I ended up finishing 2 the prize difference was $2385vs $3695. So that is the hand(s) that haunt me the most

Pocket aces, I raise pre flop get 1 caller. The board at the end is 6667A, he goes all in, I call. He has a 7 for a stronger full house.

Good morning everyone, lately the hand that has been haunting me is AK against my AA. Even though I know it’s normal for AK to occasionally beat AA, it’s still very tough when it happens in important MTTs. AKo has around a 6% chance of beating AA, and I lost twice in the same way — with the villain hitting a nut flush on the turn.

In one hand, the hero opened 2x, the villain 3-bet to 8bb, and the hero just called with 30bb. The flop came three cards of the same suit. After a c-bet, the villain check-raised all-in, the hero called, and the turn gave the villain the nut flush.

I lost this way in the 10K GTD MTT on 888poker. It was a key hand that could have put me among the top 20 with 180 players left. It’s hard to take when bad beats happen, but I know that variance is part of the game, and situations like this will always come up.

Ouch, KK vs AA on the bubble is brutal! :) For me it was losing with a full house against quads, still can’t believe it happened. Some hands just stick with you forever.

I've only been eliminated once in the bubble, it's not a good feeling of course. I've been trying to avoid that feeling ever since, so far successfully. As I get closer to the bubble, I take more risks, either I'm eliminated earlier, or I manage to get in.

The hand I’ll never forget: I had TT and the flop came TTK, The villain went all-in with KK, but the river brought another K.
