Good morning everyone.
I worked for over 10 years in Copacabana Beach selling grilled cheese kebabs. At first, it was quite profitable and relatively easy, but over time, the number of sellers increased greatly and, combined with the increase in the price of cheese, profits fell. Selling became increasingly difficult due to high competition.
This situation made me start looking for ways to make money online. That's when I watched a YouTube video of a sports journalist who had started playing poker. He said that he took a course with André Akkari — who is very famous in
brazil and in the poker world — and that the results were so good that he was earning more money playing poker than working as a journalist. In the end, he gave up journalism to dedicate himself to poker.
In 2018, I started playing poker, even though I didn't know anything about the game — I didn't even know that pre-flop AA is the best hand. I played a lot of
freerolls and watched several videos about pre-flop ranges, such as playing the flop, the turn, and the river. Since micro stakes aren't that hard to beat, I've always been profitable, earning more than selling cheese — and best of all, with much less effort.
After all, working on the beach under a 40°C sun is exhausting. I used to walk more than 10 km a day. Now, to make some money, all I have to do is turn on my PC or laptop.
