Strategy is to play everyone as unpredictable players. Not relying on bias of people habits & stats to predict actions but on cards to dictate odds. Unpredictable players master the art of deception by mixing play styles. Odds doesn't change, only luck changes. :)

I start by simply watching their style of play and after a while the unpredictable player becomes predictable.

I don't believe there's a formula for dealing with unpredictable players, and I believe there are very few of them because an unpredictable player hasn't yet defined his playstyle, and this is undoubtedly a negative point for him in the long run. I don't consider predictable or unpredictable as a playstyle, frankly.
But if they are unpredictable wouldn't it be more difficult to play vs. them?

I start by simply watching their style of play and after a while the unpredictable player becomes predictable.
But what if it doesn't? What if the thing about their play is... that it is "UNpredictable" ?

What is your strategy for handling unpredictable poker players?
Since I only play freerolls, and in these tournaments the players are really unpredictable, the strategy in this type of tournament is patience, waiting for a good hand, and hoping that the river is not catastrophic.😁

In Pre Flop, when you are stronger, raise to 7x or more
In Pos Flop, never bluff, just bet nuts

Yes, it certainly is, but I just think it's not profitable for him (the unpredictable player) in the long run.

If you watch closely you’ll notice the unpredictability becomes predictable!

Well, it would be good to define the meaning of "unpredictable" player. As I see it, it means they make some marginal, non-obvious plays with given hands, rather aggressive, not passive. So, my tactic against such players would be playing tighter, raising with strong, made hands, sometimes floating wider with drawing hands in the hope of making a strong one. Rather avoid bluffs.

Unpredictable poker players ?? I just play my cards the usual way , I won't play tight or conservatively or with another way . If I know how a player plays I will try to take advantage of it if he is very tight or loose or bluffer . If he is unpredictable I play the cards nothing else . The greatest problem is the unpredictable rng , not the unpredictable players )))

Well... even without entering the fight, you can watch 10 hands of your opponent's actions and then use it against him. If the opponent shows that he bets often and a lot, then with a strong hand I will simply play check-call against him. If he shows that he bets rarely, then against such a person you can try to steal the pot even with a weak hand

In tournaments one move that can work early while the blinds are still small is just wait patiently for the perfect hand in the right position and limp then reraise shove their bully raises (or just reraise allin when sitting after them) .Since they play so many pots your range should be way ahead !

Poker is not just a card game, but a people game. Against these types of players I tend to observe more and take notes and adapt against them!

Everyone has a pattern. I would watch him play against other players to find out.

Strategy, be patient and wait for a good hand to finish him, sometimes bluff and show so he can tilt.

Facing unpredictable players can quickly become a headache. They make a series of strange moves, play improbable hands, and seem to ignore any strategic logic. Against them, trying to bluff or overthink things can be a mistake.

The best response is often simple: play solid, remain patient, and wait for the right hands to punish them. There's no point in trying to read them precisely it's their mistakes that will make you profitable.

They can be unsettling, even annoying, but in the long run, this type of player represents a real opportunity for disciplined players.

I try not to play every hand with such players. I try to catch them with pockets, having a set, or having made a straight or flush. Or I wait for the prime hand.

Yeah i think it is a part of the game. To be an unpredictable player is a key@ cash tables and also in tournaments.

Yes you are right. the game has his own dynamic way, can change the style in minutes so it is on you how you react and act from this.
In my mind an unpredictable player is somebody who plays a wide range, my advice is that you try to beat him with solid hands and play it a bit slower and passive. I wouldnt check-raise such a player if you dont have a monster because you get committed fast in such pots with that style of player, so i would prefer a check call situation if it cheap to see flop/ turn.
Try to figure out with which hole cards the unpredictable player goes in to showdowns and the actions step by step before, it is necessary to analyse such a player if he is a "good" regular player which tries to bluff at good spots or an unpredictable "maniac".

Also according to GTO charts, under 10 BBs , a lot of hands are considered a shove. You might consider some of them donc play. I think shoving certain combinations should be very player dependent.

I think unpredictable players are the toughest to play against and can make you look foolish at times. I think the best way to handle them when making your decision on what to do is focus on how their range of hands differ from those that have a more predictable range. Also, if you are playing live, I would really try to pay more attention to them than others to see if I could get a live tell.

In poker, dealing with unpredictable players requires flexibility and adaptability. The basic strategy is to avoid formulaic play, adapt to their style, and look for opportunities to maximize winnings when possible. It is important to remember that unpredictable players can be very aggressive or passive, so you need to be prepared for a variety of scenarios.

If someone's playing crazy, I just watch them. I stay cool, let them make their bluffs, and slowly take their money. Then, when I'm ready, I'll go after them and make them uncomfortable.

I get it 'cause I play like that too sometimes. 🤣😜👍

I like to observe them for a few rounds. Try to get some kind of read, be easier live then online but would still see if there is some sort of pattern. If I am up against them, I would do it only with really strong hands and hope for the best.

as others have said, it helps to study all the action and wait for a good spot ( position and and hand strength ).if possible , trying to understand the 'gambler's' motivations and psychology can sometimes help . in a live ring game a seat change might be of benefit ( and you can always leave if you dont care for the high variance ).if it's in your nature , just try to avoid any solid players and join the wild play !
