Well, perhaps tournaments are more fun, but I find it much easier to get some reasonable results in cash games.
I find tournaments much more variance dependent. As an example - yesterday in our VIP 300 game at Replay, 20 people left, I was 4th or 5th stack, playing carefully, I was almost sure I'll reach the final table... 1st stack opened all in from CO, I called with KK from BB. He had A6o and he hit his Ace on the flop, so I was out. Of course it is just poker, I do not complain at all. I understand such things happen and it does not mean online poker is rigged ;) But in a cash game it would be just a lost stack, not even defining the whole session result, here after few hours of playing well, I was just out with nothing.
I must admit I am bad at tournaments... should I fold considered ICM or something?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the differences between cash games and tournaments. Both formats have their own excitement: cash games give you flexibility and the chance to leave whenever you want, while tournaments bring the thrill of climbing through the field and chasing a big score.

For me, tournaments feel more exciting because of the different stages – early, middle, and final tables – but I know many players prefer the steady grind of cash games.

What about you? Do you enjoy the deep strategy and freedom of cash games, or the structured challenge of tournaments?

Initially I used to play more cash games (safe and much secure in terms of time and money invested) but later on after watching more videos of all the pros and world’s biggest events, it seems you got to focus more on tournaments to make a name for yourself!

I prefer tournaments - big thrill, structured play, and chance for huge payouts.

Tournsments. The feeling of looking at how many players are left, how many more until the bubble and so it is soo fun. I just try to stay alive as much as possible and earn some money, also more players go all in more often so its more fun.

Honestly, I lean toward tournaments. The structure keeps things exciting blinds go up, stacks get shorter, and every decision feels like it matters more. There’s also that thrill of outlasting hundreds of players and making a deep run, even if you don’t always win.
Cash games are great too since you can sit down, buy in, and leave whenever you want, but I find tournaments push me to stay disciplined and patient. Plus, nothing really compares to the adrenaline of reaching a final table.

I've always enjoyed participating in poker tournaments more. Why? I think I enjoy competing more.

The choice between cash games and tournaments depends on personal preference, lifestyle, and mental stability. The final choice depends on individual factors: availability of free time, usual schedule of wakefulness, psychological resilience.

Only tournaments. Win the ticket in a freeroll game. That way there is no loss.

I play both cash games and MTT, but I prefer tournaments. Probably because you can hit a big jackpot in a tournament, and that's tempting.

Since I'm really unlucky, I only play tournaments. I try to win tickets on freerolls. That way there's no loss.

The choice between poker cash games and tournaments depends on your goals, bankroll, and playing style. Cash games offer flexibility, consistent but smaller wins, and are often recommended for beginners, while tournaments provide a chance for larger, less frequent scores but come with higher volatility and the risk of being eliminated. Key differences include the value of chips, increasing blinds in tournaments, the ability to reload in cash games, and the finite nature of a tournament stack.

Well, perhaps tournaments are more fun, but I find it much easier to get some reasonable results in cash games.
