I see a lot of people saying that in poker luck influences the short term, but skill prevails over time.

Definitely agree! The most you study, the most you realize how important is having a good strategy and a good reading.

Have you ever had phases where everything went wrong even if you played the right one?

I've had both, times when things went bad playing well, and times when things went bad, and that helped me find weak points.

How do you maintain confidence in your game even when the results don't seem to keep up?

Reviewing my game, trying to find mistakes, and if necessary, playing games with lower buy ins for a while.

Yes, kind of. In the short term the variance can be huge, but over time all your gains tend to aproach the average (aka depending on the EV that you get), because variance generally cancels out itself (though not the gambler's fallacy way). This is basically why in poker it can be annoying to estimate your own skill, because it is hard to understand without looking for a long time if your upswings/downswings are the result of the skill (or the lack of it) or is this just you getting a bit lucky/unlucky.
