If you could go back in time would you still choose to play poker?

I would 100% be active in poker. Would i do things different? absolutely. I would actually take a shot at a much different level than I did. While I may not have made it, I would have at least taken the shot I wanted.

I completely understand how you feel. It's hard to lose, especially if you feel like you've lost a lot. I can't tell you if you would want to know how to play poker if you could go back in time, because that depends on how it would have affected you in your life.
But I can tell you that you are not alone. We all make mistakes, we all lose sometimes. The important thing is to learn from those experiences and move forward.
If you feel discouraged, reach out to your friends and family for support, or even seek professional help. Remember that there are people who love you and are there for you. And don't forget that there are always new opportunities to learn and grow.

Yes. I want to play poker. 1-2 hours a day, no more.

An obvious yes.
If I could go back in time at will, I would play poker far differently though.

There is a saying: "We cannot change the past, but we can create the future." If poker were to interfere with my life, I would stop playing it the moment it started to interfere, and I would not drag it out for many years. If you have lost a lot because of poker, as far as I understand from what you have written, then you do not need to go back to the past, stop playing today, and from tomorrow start a new life, without poker. It is not about poker, it is about addiction, if something interferes with a person's life or causes harm, then you just need to give it up, stop doing it and everything will immediately get better. If a person cannot do this, then he needs to work on himself or contact a specialist who will help him learn to cope with addictions. After all, in the future, some other addiction may take the place of poker and it will again be difficult for a person to overcome it. All this happens inside us, you need to learn to control yourself and the problems will immediately disappear. If I could go back in time, I would play poker exactly the same way as I do today.

Absolutely.. Poker has been fun since I learned how to play 40+ years ago. The popularity of hold 'em has only made it better :)

It`s difficult to say - if I have a lot of free time, may be, but to be a professional player - NO.

If I could go back, I would only play poker and not waste my time and money on other games. Poker brings me an income, and if I had started playing early enough, I would be at a completely different level now. Unfortunately, I started playing only 8 years ago, and when I started I was already 46 years old.

Oh yeah I would definitely get into it again!

The game taught me a lot, and the one thing that resonates with me to this day is the emotional aspect of playing. I gained more control over my emotions, understanding the importance of patience, and acceptance when I'm on a losing streak.

I'm currently following the 30 day course on CC, although I've already studied elsewhere I keep coming back to revise what I've learned from different free sources and that is something I find enjoyment in as well! As everyone has their unique way of teaching the game.

Plus I found this amazing community... Can I really ask for more??

Definitely. I would just reevaluate things and prepare myself better beforehand. I saw a classmate playing poker few years ago and the whole game seemed so simple. I studied the basic rules and transferred money to a website. Well, it didn't end well. If I could go back in time, I would have prepared myself better and talked myself out of immediately transferring money anywhere.

yes, totally. It would be an opportunity to understand the game from a younger age with more advanced points of view.

I play for fun and entertainment, so I would still play. The money I have lost over the years is equal to what I would have spent going to movies or live theatre.

Absolutely, I would. Poker has taught me a lot about decision-making, patience, and reading people — skills that are valuable both at the table and in life. I don’t regret choosing poker at all.

Yes, definitely. Would be better, if I had started earlier, but I do not complain.
