I watched hundreds of reviews from players of a certain instructor, I saw that even terrible players, making obviously losing plays, won tournaments and earned hundreds and even thousands of dollars. I reflected, I understood that with internet access and a computer, I could play cards, earn dollars and change my life with it. The same week I watched all the videos on YouTube, I joined a school and started playing freerolls. I stayed here for 2 months, with a few classes in the course, I joined a team, and I've been playing on it ever since, 1.8 years. The first month only $1 tournaments. I've been studying a lot, I've played tournaments up to $17 already and it's just the beginning. Thanks to cadschat, I studied a lot and played many tournaments here, a community full of great people.

From that moment on, poker in Brazil exploded and we are a power in the sport and we already have more than 7 million players.

i was 17 and my father was watching a soccer game, after the game ended he left the tv on on the same channel and a broadcast of a poker tournament began, can't remember the name of the tournament but i do remember the name Gus Hansen, after that i became a fan, start looking for flash poker games online until i found about full tilt poker , created my account and 16 years later haven't stopped playing , on a different site of course lol . It also led me to my first poker book , super system.

I started playing about 9 years ago.

My introduction to poker started on YouTube — I came across an 18-episode series (in Russian) about the world series of poker in Las Vegas.
I was shocked — I always thought poker was just for fun with friends or maybe underground clubs, but this was a huge international event!
That got me curious, and I found out about sites like PokerStars, where I signed up. Later, I discovered 888poker, and I’ve been playing there ever since.
They’ve also hosted many great live events in Europe, which I also enjoyed watching on YouTube

I really admire how you overcame your fear, especially in live tournaments. That nervous feeling is something many of us go through in the beginning, but the important thing is that you didn’t let it stop you.
Also, the fact that you started learning through videos and articles shows true passion — and that’s the right path to grow in poker.
