At first, I thought so. But I saw my husband constantly coming to the final tables and getting some prizes. That's when I realized that there's the skill side involved.

I believe it is 100% gambling, considering the fact that there's risk involved.
If you decide to fund(deposit) on your account to grind lower MTT and you lose your $50 bankroll. What are you answering someone that asked you how you lost your money? It's obvious going to be something like "I was taking a gamble and trying to win(multiple) my money by play poker.
Key word: Gamble

I guess it depends how you look at it. Poker definitely has a gambling side since you’re risking money, but it’s not the same as just spinning a slot or betting on roulette. The skill part—reading people, knowing odds, bankroll management—makes a huge difference over the long run. Short term it can feel like pure luck, but good players usually come out ahead over time.

Lowkey it is, since luck is still a huge factor, you can have the skill set, but if it's not your day then it simply isn't. You can have a streak of bad luck were you're playing the "proper" way, but you're just losing. And on the other side it isn't fully like gambling since your skill level at the game makes a big difference. So if you have luck plus skill then you're good to go.

If no financial gain is involved, it is not gambling. Once money is involved it turns into gambling. Hello.

Yes, poker is generally considered a game of chance. In poker, players place bets based on the strength of their cards and strategies, which introduces an element of risk and chance. While skill and strategy play a significant role in poker, the outcome of the game also depends on luck.

if you play for money, yes it's gambling. If you play without money, just for fun or as a social activity, then no it's not

I don't think it's a game of chance because there are many decisions to be made before considering luck. If you analyze it calmly, luck only applies to the ALL IN, from which point there's no turning back... other than that, you can control a lot of the game.

And mathematically, the statistics of hits, flops, out counts, pot odds, and everything else help you make the best decision... but if you don't know this, then your game becomes a game of luck.
