This happens to me sometimes. When I play freerolls or some low-stakes games, I can play and watch a match on TV at the same time. When I play for higher stakes, I never get bored while playing.

Yeah, thats why its good to set goals and stay in for a certain number of games/tournaments. I'd just catch a break afterwards.

Sometimes I get a little bored, especially if I don't have good hands for a long time. But I try to use that time to observe the other players. Staying focused is also part of the game!

In the final phase of a big tournament, every preflop fold is exciting

To be honest, yes, I do get bored sometimes. But that only happens in satellites and tournaments with low prize money guarantees. However, I can't say that the quality of my game deteriorates when I'm bored. My goal in every tournament is always victory. :ninja:

It happens, sometimes when a game feels overly dull I find myself wandering off.

Absolutely I get bored. Some tournaments take way too long to get to the final table. I want to be there but I don't enjoy it when it takes the good part of a day to get there.

The opposite! I have 4 grandkids (2-9yo) that live with me so I have trouble focusing on just the game sometimes. 😀

I am always happy when I have free time to play. I play 4-6 tables at the same time, never get bored and get maximum pleasure :)
If you are bored, open at least one more table.

Anyone who gets bored playing poker is definitely not part of this game, concentration is low and your bankroll will definitely suffer, decreasing if you don't give maximum concentration to the game.

Sometimes I get bored, especially when I don't get any playable hands. I try to focus on how other players play their hands or to see tells or listen to music or watch something on YouTube.

Hitting low stakes tables where you find too many Bingo players always is a turn off. Gets anyone annoyed and bored.

I don't think I get to the point of getting bored, before I get bored I get stressed out hahaha, and after stressing out I stop, so I think I never get bored, when I'm not so focused what I do is watch my cell phone while playing time or watch a video

I also feel that I sometimes need breaks and when I use games more for bigger stakes, because big tournaments are sometimes hard to hold on, does anyone have experience how to win better in tournaments

That is why I will play turbo touneys and 6 max cash games when I feel that way.

Yes often, I've listed a few of the reasons why below.
A large chunk of the skill in poker is fighting the effects of this boredom and coming up with ways to mitigate it.

Long stretches of folding – Mucking 70–80% of hands, which can feel like sitting on the sidelines
Predictable opponents – Facing the same nits or the same maniacs every session can remove the sense of challenge
Repetitive decision spots – Playing similar ranges and board textures over and over can start to feel mechanical
No meaningful pots – Whiffing flops or not getting action on big hands, it can feel like nothing’s happening
Excessive tanking – Players who take forever on every decision can drain momentum (You know who you are..)
Overly loose games – Poker turns into boring Bingo
Fatigue from long sessions – Even exciting games lose their spark if grinding for 8–12 hours straight
No personal stakes or goals – Not playing for meaningful money or working toward improvement, motivation fades
Bad beats – Losing big pots time after time when you were far ahead can be frustrating and sap the enjoyment out of the game

not really, i won't really play if i'm bored, however if I've been in a tournament for like 3 hrs and it's late in the night then I could get a little
