What gives you more money plus by playing in CASH or playing in Tournaments?

I play in tournaments, but I began to notice that I am very exhausted on them and do not spend much money on them . Here I think maybe I should go to the cache ? Share your vision ?:deal:
On the exhaustion side, it would be a good idea to go for the cash games, taking into account that we can pause and resume at any time.
I believe it is a very personal decision. Even taking into account that one can play better than the other.

It all depends on what kind of player you are and how much time you want to invest in the game and also what level you play at. I can be found more in the micros at the moment and there is not as much to fetch there as in the high levels. But I like to play both tournaments and cash. It was a bit longer ago but I've already won more than $800 in cash games but back then I also played a bit higher than Micro. But in tournaments, there is the advantage that you only pay buy in once and then only lose this, but the opposite is that you also have to invest more time because it takes a lot longer than when you play cash

if you have little time, then cash games will be more convenient for you, and if you have a lot of time, then it’s worth playing tournaments, it all depends on how much time you have, and if you want to make money quickly, then cash games will suit you more

For most players cash games could be more profitable, but it only takes one tournament win surpass your cash wins. So try and play both but learn as you go.

I think the more profitable option is definently tournaments, especially the freeroll ones because you dont have to fear a possible negative outcome,or losing money.

It is hardly possible to say. Who likes what. I predict tournaments.

I like to play tournaments, it takes a lot of time, but you can win more and spend less, the main thing is patience and luck

I think tournaments are better because there is more money if you reach a final table.

I play both cash and tourneys. Got time? I’m all in for tournaments. Busy day? Quick cash session with limits. Either way, you need strategy, patience, and full focus.

For me, cash games were unprofitable, so I almost stopped playing them. I focused on tournaments and my bankroll started to grow. I think cash games are more difficult for me.

Tournaments give me the main profit. But in general, I think this is an individual issue and everyone has to decide for themselves whether they prefer to play cash games or tournaments.

Ten times more play tournaments. This is mainly because cash games are much much tougher. Most people choose the easy path. When the stacks are deep as in cash games it requires more skills. It’s a different beast. Tournaments on the other hand are heavily dependent on luck. Cash games are for grownups. Cash game poker is the real deal.

I think tournaments allow players to create their own strategy, while in cash games it's more about skills and psychology on the short range. Which is more profitable? For me it's definitely tournaments, as my experience in cash games is not so big.

In my opinion it depends on your time and discipline, if you have time and discipline, tournaments are better because the probability of recovering what you invested is higher, but it takes a lot of time, now, I don't like cash tables very much because people are usually very smart, they only play with incredibly good hands and in my opinion that makes it boring

Cash games are generally considered more consistently profitable for skilled players because they allow you to play deep-stacked poker, choose your hours, control variance more easily, and leave the table when ahead. Tournaments, on the other hand, offer the chance for massive payouts with smaller investments, but come with much higher variance, long hours, and often little to show for many sessions before hitting a big score. So while tournaments can be more exciting and life-changing, cash games tend to provide steadier, more predictable income over time.

Both cash games and tournaments have their pros and cons, but it depends on your style, goals, and mindset. Cash games usually offer more consistent profit potential and flexibility — you can leave anytime and grind specific spots. Tournaments, on the other hand, have huge upside with small buy-ins, but the variance is brutal and emotionally draining, especially if you're deep often but not finishing big.
If you feel exhausted from tourneys and don’t invest too much in them, maybe try some low-stakes cash to build discipline and test your edge. Just remember: in cash, you need strong fundamentals and emotional control — tilt can get expensive fast

.

There's no universally "more profitable" format.

* **Cash games** offer a more consistent and steady grind with lower variance, rewarding a solid fundamental strategy and good table selection.
* **MTTs** offer the potential for life-changing scores but come with higher variance and require specific strategic adjustments for different stages of the tournament.

Ultimately, the most profitable form of poker for you will be the one you are most skilled at, enjoy the most, and can manage your bankroll and emotions effectively within. Many successful poker players even choose to play both formats.

The fun thing anout this topic is that we can see so many quite opposite answers ;)
I make money in cash games and keep loosing them in tournaments.
I found the tournaments more fun but crazy random.
