I prefer to play MTTs, because in Cash Games players don't need many strategies... the competition in MTTs and the prizes are more attractive with a smaller investment.

For me, the main difference is that in cash games you need to have your objectives very clear, like when you plan to stop playing, for example.
In tournaments, that part is simple, just play until it's over. You can think about climbing positions or making decisions based on how the tournament unfolds, but you don't have to worry about the things I mentioned earlier.

Cash games offer flexibility with no time limits and deep stacks, while tournaments bring escalating blinds, survival pressure, and the thrill of big payouts. Each demands unique strategies—master both for a complete poker game.

Melyek azok a legfontosabb különbségek, amelyeket észrevehetett a Cash Games és a versenyek között?
The cash game doesn't work for me... I can't play the style I'm good at... Competitions are my table.

Quais são algumas das principais diferenças que você deve ter notado entre Cash Games e Torneios?
I believe that in cash games people pay more than in tournaments to see more flops

What are some of the key differences you may have noticed between Cash Games and Tournaments?
I noticed that cash games are a different world from tournaments,
Cash games are more flexible in terms of tables and choice of game levels, but tournaments remain more competitive

The key difference is that you can soon lose everything in the cash

You need to have patience for both, but cash games allow you to wait a little longer for a strong hand...tournament structures can force you to get involved earlier than you might otherwise choose.

Cash games are much more competitive than tournaments. Most tournaments are just full of fish, for Cash games you need to play good poker to win and usually there are only 1 or 2 fish at the table.

When I've won tickets to.sunday million for example I've been shocked just how bad many players are. Sure as the tournament progresses you find some good players too but the overall standard is low.

I haven't been able to adapt to cash games yet, so for now, I only play tournaments.

Cash games require patience...lots of it. A patient cash-game player will win more $$$.

Tournaments, by design, force more aggressive play and wider ranges...and subsequently force people into spots they might not otherwise want to enter, but simply have to play. Increasing blinds and timed levels require this type of play.

I prefer tournaments because when playing cash games, I didn't always manage to stick to my bankroll management and this led to overly emotional play, which in turn led to losses.

The differences I can see besides the obvious structure.

In a cash format, you can select the table and with that the players you are playing against. If you can't find a fish or two at the table, the choice is always there to change tables or wait for a better time.

In an MTT, you sit where they seat you, and you may be the weakest player at that table.

Cash games offer consistent play and the ability to leave anytime, with less variance. Tournaments bring bigger swings, higher variance, but the chance for big payoffs and a lot of excitement.
