When you’re just starting out, everything feels great — it’s all sunshine and rainbows.
Then it starts to get a bit darker, haha.
What I like is how fun and accessible the competition is, especially in the beginning.
But the more I play, the more I realize how little I actually know.
The tough part is how one day you feel super confident, thinking you’ve figured the game out… and the next day, you realize there’s still so much to learn.
I guess it’s all about learning to manage your emotions.

The important thing is to keep showing up, keep learning, and enjoy the journey — that’s what makes this game so special.

Poker, at least in my case – I don't know if this applies to everyone – makes me feel really good when I win, and really bad when I lose. It's not that I have very big losses, because I play micro-stakes, but I feel bad especially in situations where I lose or get eliminated from several tournaments in a row, taking bad beats. I started playing poker in 2018 and I know this is perfectly normal, but it still bothers me a lot, you know? It gives me a bad feeling, I feel bad, and when I win some tournaments, I feel great. Poker has these two sides, right? Either you feel really good, or you feel bad.
