Hi all,

As we all know, craps is one of the most popular casino games, especially that the house does not have much of an edge on the players who know the game.

I'm certainly not an expert by any means, but I'll start the topic with a few basic rules that I'm aware of.

The game starts by players placing their bets (A whole topic by itself).
Then one of the players throw 2 dice, called a come-out roll.

If the total thrown is 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12, the round is over, bets paid out or lost and another player throws (It could be the same one).

But if the throw shows any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or a 10), that number is called the "Established Point", more variety of bets are made, and the player keeps throwing as long as they don't throw 7 or the Established Point, in which case the round is over, and someone else throws another come out roll and so on....

It could appear complicated at 1st, but by watching a few rounds at a live table, anyone can easily get the hang of it.

I hope this was somewhat helpful, though it doesn't cover the types of bets, which can be also easy to get familiar with by watching the action, but one of you guys could probably tackle the topic!

I've never played this game. But you described it quite accessible and clear. Thank you. Maybe I'll try it somehow.

Even if you don't play, you can have a lot of fun just by watching the game. People go nuts around the craps table, especially when a player keeps throwing for a while without getting the 7 or the established point and everyone keeps "cashing" after every throw.
At least it's much better than roulette where only a few players win and the house scoops tons of chips after every spin.

Actually yes, they are not hard to learn, and there's really nothing to master, you just place one or many bets as you please and let the dice roll. As long as the 7 or the established point are not thrown, you get paid every time.
The catch is that you don't get paid the same amount for every bet depending on the odds.
Consider this:
An 8 or a 6 have more chances to be thrown than a 4 or a 3, therefore you make more money if you bet on the 3 than on the 8. But there are other types of bets though...

If you walk into any casino, you can go to the craps table and just watch. You'll learn the game in no time.
As to a platform, you mean an online casino I guess, I honestly have no idea. But with this merger, I'm sure we'll learn something very soon.

Do you have access to a casino where you are?
If so, just walk in and look for a Craps table, it's usually the "noisy" one 😜😂. Just stand there and watch a couple of rounds, you'll know what it's about easily.
