What is better to play long/short term
poker or blackjack?
I think if you want quick money just take your bankroll and play blackjack and dubble it when you lose a hand ? Till you double your bankroll…
with poker you can win 500x your buy in with a nice tournament, but with cash games you can loose 10/15 x in a row a buy in…
so I’m confused a bit after playing for 20 years cash games, and loose that much, what if I played just blackjack with that money ?
( I still like the game poker , especially plo ) but it is so slow with bankroll if you play low stakes .

I don't know, I prefer poker, black jack is very boring to me. Maybe it's me who doesn't know how to play it properly

Blackjack is only profitable if you can card count well, what you described is Martingale which is not profitable in the long term (it works until it doesn't, and when it doesn't you lose your bankroll completely. It doesn't change your negative EV and only affects variance). If comparing BJ card counting to poker I'd say BJ is much more boring and being a winning player in poker doesn't make you blacklisted from casinos while being a winning player against the house in BJ usually leads to you being banished from there. Not to mention that continuous auto-shufflers and bad blackjack payouts can easily destroy your card counting edge completely.

i Don’t believe the martingale strategie can lose in long term,
because even if you lose your whole bankrol (let’s say I lose 5k all of it)
my next move will be , build up new bankroll 10 k and go all in etc etc etc..
I’m micro stake player anyway with poker…
why not win small with blackjack ?
I am a funplayer at pokertables , I can not wait for that AA and go all in and still loose system of longterm blaablaa..
most of time I double an amount of money with blackjack/slots/sportsbets and loose whole bankrol with poker
and start over with casino games..
if i take poker out of my life I am a winning gambler with that martingale system..
but I like poker to much so I keep on loosing all my money 😂😂
oh ja one more thing, you can not loose blackjack 15 times in a row while you double your bet every time
just go for bigger table at casino and bet again, you can’t loose 15x in row trust me 😈

good Lucks anyway at the tables 🍀🍀🍀

I enjoy both but I enjoy live blackjack a lot more then online blackjack......while I enjoy online poker more then live poker at the only casino near me. Over the last 20+ years I've found both profitable.

Cheers!!!

This video is not the TrueType because
the table you play has limits
you can move to bigger tables and bet bigger
the only problem can be money but that is matter of time to build new stack and double your last losing bet.
you can not lose 15 x in a row with blackjack 😈👌👌

For me, I prefer poker to blackjack because poker is played against the casino, and the casino wins in the long run. However, poker is played with players like you, and you can outplay them in the long run as you gain experience.

Anybody can win a big tournament 1day
but not everybody can make money every day/session
thats the diffrents I try to say
between making money with poker or blackjack
i prefer make money with blackjack and enjoy poker as funplayer

Counting cards is great and it's a skill. But once it's learned. Just like after basic strategy is learned. There is no decision making or problem solving. It's essentially pressing a button on a slow machine. If that button has a favourable EV then awesome ... if not your a sucker!

To be honest, I've never played in blackjack. But if I ever play this game, it will only be for entertainment in one of Las Vegas casinos. And that will only be possible if poker brings me enough money that I don't have to worry about my possible losing in blackjack.

Being a retired dealer and player, I soon realized that the only way to win at blackjack (odds greatly for the house was by card counting which even now is easy to spot and control by the casinos.
With poker (except for the rake, which is lower than blackjack odds) you are playing against other players.

it would work if you had an infinite bankroll, but because your bankroll is finite, you are going to have a non-zero chance to bust, which will erase any profits in the long term. So the only way to be profitable long-term in BJ without cheating is to card count.

Until you double your bankroll ...... or lose it :)
I think players who adhere to this principle make deposits more often than others :)
I prefer poker because there are freerolls in poker that allow you to build up your bankroll without risk and, most importantly, without spending your own money.

Haha yeah I wish I could be considered a pro but that's a bit of a stretch. But thank you for the compliment. Just a rec/hobby player. I simply play within my limits $$$ and skill wise. Don't often tilt, play within my bankroll and have decent game selection(I know what I'm good at and not). As my poker style I play simple TAG strategy, try not to put myself into too many tough situations and take advantage of the weaker players at the table when I get the chance.

There are better CC members then me.

Cheers!!!

Enjoy both, but enjoy live blackjack much more than online blackjack... while enjoying online poker rather than live poker at the only casino near me. In the last 20+ years I have found two profitable ones.

Well, I admit I have never played BJ in casino, but as I find it (correct me if I am wrong) it is typical gambling casino game, where casino has an advantage, so you can never win long term. As I've read, the house edge is around 2%. With cards counting, you can make it 1% to your advantage. I know there are systems for counting etc, but anyway how many people are able to do it? It does not seem to be an easy skill to master. Doubling the bet after you loose is rather a theory than a real strategy. You do not have infinite money. If you started from 1$, you would have to bet 512$ betting 10th time, 1024$ 11th time, 2048$ 12th time.. and so on... it skyrockets to zillions $ really fast. In practice, neither you would have/bet such money, nor the casino would let you bet so big. And it is still to win ONE dollar. Check with 10$ starting bet... And do you think you will NEVER get 10+ times in a row loosing serie? Really? ;)

From the other hand, for poker it is simple and easy (well, almost ;) As far as you beat the rake, you can outplay other players and be a winning one.

So the answer is clear. Poker is more profitable for human beings.
