:hmmmm:Kid is so ignorant , it's best not to engage a troll on such a tragedy , he blamed the NFL on Facebook
For real, the only place you need to worry a lot about travelling abroad to is to your neighbor. Most of the rest of the world is still perfectly safe. What is the world coming to. I do not feel safe travelling abroad, thats for sure. All those innocent people killed or injured for no reason. I'm not even sure there is a solution.
I'm honestly amazed that huge massacres like this don't happen on a bi-weekly basis in the US. Think of all the people there are who've given up hope, harbor a massive grudge towards society, and have easy access to a full arsenal...The mass shooting in Vegas was unthinkably tragic and vicious. Many innocent people lost their lives or were wounded because of this insanity. My thoughts and prayers go out to them and their relatives and close friends. There were also many heroes that day, and I offer each any every one of them my profound respect and gratitude for risking their lives to help others.
I wonder though what it will take to stop these recurring and worsening events from happening. This man was not known to be psychologically unbalanced that we know of, at least not in a clinically diagnosed way. Time will tell if his spouse, friends and neighbours knew better. He had no known terrorist leanings or affiliations. He seems to be what they call a lone wolf. Clearly something made him crack.
There are lots and lots of people in the world who contain their grievances in private. Many suffer but resist expressing their anger, controlling their urges to thrash out and do something horrible. Many have supportive family and friends that can and do help them. But some, for whatever reason, choose to accumulate a private arsenal to effect revenge on the society that they feel has alienated them.
Sound familiar? Doesn't this sort of misguided revenge seeking violence happen every day on a smaller scale in the inner cities across America?
If we can't systematically identify these people in advance, and report them to authorities who will be able to take appropriate, swift and decisive action to prevent a tragedy, then what can we do?
It would be great if the causes could be identified and eliminated. If that can't happen, what can be done?
It's pretty obvious to anyone that wishes to see. Get rid of the guns. Without guns people looking to hurt others will have to get close and personal. Far fewer people will have the courage to attack on a one-to-one basis. Those that do will be able to do far less damage.
The gun culture in the United States makes no sense. These toys for men are being used to wreak horrible damage on society on a daily basis. The original premise, to have an equipped and ready 'militia' to protect the people no longer holds validity. There are organized, trained and equipped police forces at every corner of America whose mandate is to protect the people.
Many of the 'militia' groups are now considered to be white supremacist or terrorist groups themselves, not protectors of civilization, but enemies of civilization. The 2nd amendment currently exists to protect them, not the law-abiding, peaceful people.
Get rid of the guns, and gun violence goes down, a LOT!

The maps on that website are pretty telling.Actually they occur all the time, just the large number casualties are the only ones that usually make headline news. Here is a very good page for tracking the unneeded daily blood shed in the United States. http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours
read the whole story.I researched the strictly tightened gun laws in Britain and Australia and concluded that they didn't prove much about what America's policy should be. Neither nation experienced drops in mass shootings or other gun related-crime that could be attributed to their buybacks and bans. Mass shootings were too rare in Australia for their absence after the buyback program to be clear evidence of progress. And in both Australia and Britain, the gun restrictions had an ambiguous effect on other gun-related crimes or deaths.
When I looked at the other oft-praised policies, I found out that no gun owner walks into the store to buy an "assault weapon." It's an invented classification that includes any semi-automatic that has two or more features, such as a bayonet mount, a rocket-propelled grenade-launcher mount, a folding stock or a pistol grip. But guns are modular, and any hobbyist can easily add these features at home, just as if they were snapping together Legos.
As for silencers — they deserve that name only in movies, where they reduce gunfire to a soft puick puick. In real life, silencers limit hearing damage for shooters but don't make gunfire dangerously quiet. An AR-15 with a silencer is about as loud as a jackhammer. Magazine limits were a little more promising, but a practiced shooter could still change magazines so fast as to make the limit meaningless.
I Did not blame the NFL, it's odd the attack happen after the mess with the NFL!!Kid is so ignorant , it's best not to engage a troll on such a tragedy , he blamed the NFL on Facebook
"Gee, people are being shot from somewhere that isn't obvious...
lemme run around with a gun while armed police are everywhere.
No way they could mistake me as a possible shooter"
It happens, in places that have more gun control in place, and in places that are gun free zones!!! http://time.com/4635049/chicago-murder-rate-homicides/Oh, totally. It's insane. But I'm still shocked that things like this, HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE GETTING SHOT, and all, don't happen way more frequently.
He was playing poker for 8 hours, before he did this!! So all poker should be banned. That guy is a high roller in vegas.. wonder what made him do it....
Crazy guy and days leading up to the shooting he gambled 20k and 15k etc as shown in news.
Taking out someone at 1000 yards with a 9mm, can be done, a .40 would not be much harder.I see some fruitcakes yelling about how they could have taken out the shooter if they were there. Take him out with what, your concealed carry .40 S&W from across the street? The hotel would have just had some more broken windows, you aren't going to hit a damn thing with a handgun at that distance.
I'm more and more disenchanted every day by the gross lack of critical thinking ability displayed by so many.
This guy isn't much of a high roller either, those come from mainland China and play Baccarat for $6 million a round.

1. You are so grossly ignorant on things, it makes me wonder how you can post this.It happens, in places that have more gun control in place, and in places that are gun free zones!!! http://time.com/4635049/chicago-murder-rate-homicides/
All of the places, are run by dems, who put in harder gun laws.

With all of the news, I'm starting to think, this was some kind of bet!
Oh, you'll hit plenty. However, your intended target is most likely not in that "plenty".you aren't going to hit a damn thing with a handgun at that distance.
There you go again, assuming common sense is common.I'm more and more disenchanted every day by the gross lack of critical thinking ability displayed by so many.![]()
Self answering question, no?1. You are so grossly ignorant on things, it makes me wonder how you can post this.
A wise person told me not to engage trolls2. You just posted your musings on whether the NFL caused this? I'm sure you love the thought of false flag operations.
When all your "news" is opinion based, why not cite yet another?3. The washington post is an opinion piece, why not actually research what is happening after gun control was enacted.
I heard the license plate motto of "'Merica, Apple Pie, and Firearms! F#@k Yeah!" failed by only one vote. Is that true?4. You bring up Chicago. I live in Indiana, Chicago is a 5 minute drive across the state line. I wonder what Indiana gun laws are like? Oh yeah I live here, shoot em up should be our states motto.
You re-used the #4 for your last point, ergo it is therefore invalid and may be ignored4. Poker should be outlawed? The next time I see a story about playing cards murdering over 50 innocent people I will agree. Even your analogies are ignorant.
ok ok you are rightOh, you'll hit plenty. However, your intended target is most likely not in that "plenty".
Add to that, you become an active shooter in the middle of an incident where not everyone may have figured out where the original active shooter was.
But now you must also admit they guy was taken out by an armed civilian...himself.
There you go again, assuming common sense is common.

Exactly. Not finding a way to stop this kind of thing is the most disrespectful thing possible to do to the dead. What makes me angry are the people who think someone is not honoring the victims when they discuss the issues that lead up to it happening and what we can do to fix them.
If I am ever killed by one of these sick madmen with assault weapons - please honor me by having these discussions.
It's inappropriate and too soon to discuss any gun reforms in response to Sunday’s attack in Las Vegas. The pro-poker-player that was there, went to get his gun, in supporting the cops.
Or too late?
The horror of the international membership will continue until the terrorists will not disappear from the face of the earth!
"Gee, people are being shot from somewhere that isn't obvious...

But clearly not too soon for politicizing the tragedy
I guess I missed the news report as to which "well-regulated militia" this arsehole was a member of...
And I can't seem to find the version that mentions high-capacity magazines and "bump-stocks" :dontknow:
