They don't show this! Welcome to Las Vegas. Going to Sin City as a first-time visitor to show you all the different ways this place takes money from you without you even realizing it.

I would like to hear the experience of anyone who has visited this place or is aware of what happens there.

What a greedy world we live right now, where people must now see a video to learn how to protect themselves from being exploited by firms
that should thanking them for choosing to spend their money in those places. Who in their right mind would want to complete their homework assignments in advance and meticulously review every item on a receipt? There is only one way to punish them for this greedy/scammy behavour and that by not ever go to Las Vegas again. There are probably great resorts and casinos in almost every other state people live nearby with great rates and value. Go there and spend the money you've worked so hard for, at the very least, they deserve it. With subpar service and no value, Las Vegas is much overrated. You have to be very concerned about all the fraudsters as well as the exorbitant rates.

The scenario is that Las Vegas is literally becoming a ghost town. There's a lack of housing, security and dirt/insects in the tourist area. Now, regarding the increase in homeless people asking for money, this is perhaps the least offensive act you'll see in this place.

Interesting videos.

I think in most cases the phrase is "how Vegas takes advantage of you vs how they scam you.

The resort fees are terrible, but fortunately a law was passed last year requiring them to disclose them up front - so they can no longer advertise the low rate and surprise you when you check out.

The best thing to do is make sure you are educated before you go.

Some casinos do keep the change or donate it to a charity if you use their machines to cash out your tickets. But - if you cash them in the casino cage you get the full amount.

Anyone who plays slots should know how those "building up to get the bonus" machines work. It is misleading when they look so full they should be about to hit - but it is on us to ignore that.

Then there is the irony that MK mentions above - he is basically doing something very similar by using click bait lol.

There's this one too: Why nobody wants to visit Las Vegas right now.

Good to know - off strip is cheaper and potentially more lucrative! I don't visit the US because of Trump's immigration, trade, militarization and international relations policies. But once he's out of office I'm thinking Vegas may be worth the trip. Knowledge is power! :)

It is a bit frustrating though when you have to educate yourself on airline fees, restaurant fees, hotel fees, cash out discrepancies and game payout ratios just to go on vacation. Vacations aren't supposed to be so much work.

online casinos are starting to look a whole lot more appealing!

That is a valid point for the one-off and rare visitors.

Agree on the online casinos - anxious to find time to start exploring. With online casinos bankroll management is highly critical due to the easy 24 hour a day access. We plan on sharing some information on that here in the forum.

Very nice YouTube video , I see some legitimate scums in Las Vegas . New visitors and tourists should have them in their mind and extra carefully . They charge so much . I would like some more info on some scams in some games , slots for example , that would be interested . Maybe j LL look for this for myself in YouTube or Google it .

Overall, great material. Important info, but as it states, it concerns tourists only.
In fact, there's no mention of comps that play a huge role for regulars.
Free rooms, free food and even items you can buy with points at casino stores make up fairly for their scam.

Sorry tourists, you go to Vegas for fun. Fun is not that cheap nowadays ;).

Great video, revealing and entertaining. Interesting info about slots. Most shocking were $1000 recommended gratuity and $700 admin fee in a night club.

I don't think anyone is forcing anyone to do anything. If people are willing to spend money, then those who want to earn money are probably trying to do it as best they can :)
