One game I would like to see played in casinos is a card game called "Casino"
🃏 1 vs 1 Casino – 40-Card Variant (Rules)
I’ve been playing a 40-card version of Casino (face cards removed) and thought I’d share the rules here:
Deck
Use only Aces (1) through 10 of each suit → 40 cards total.
Face cards (J, Q, K) are not used.
Dealing
If there is a base:
4 cards are dealt face-up to the table.
Each player gets 9 cards.
If there is no base:
Each player gets 10 cards (no table cards).
After the first half of the 40 cards is played, the remaining half is dealt the same way.
Gameplay
On your turn you can:
1. Capture: Play a card to take equal value cards or builds from the table.
2. Build: Place a card to form a new total (e.g., 5+4=9). That pile can only be captured with that value.
3. Trail: Place a card face-up on the table without capture.
First round rule: Each player is limited to 1 build.
Final round rule: Unlimited builds are allowed.
Scoring (11 points per game)
Most cards → 2 points
Most spades → 2 points
2♠ (Little Two) → 1 point
Each Ace → 1 point
10♦ (Big Diamond) → 2 points
It’s a fast, strategic game where spades and the 10♦ are critical targets, since spades count for both most-cards and most-spades, and the Big Diamond is worth as much as two Aces.
