We all know the fees being added to the cost of travel have been getting to much. I was looking to book a trip for Las Vegas and found some of the cost have gone overboard. Some are freaking nuts.

Here are two rooms I found and was blown away by the fee. $74.00 a night hotel is OK. $625 taxes and fees is ridiculous. But the best part after paying more than double already for taxes and fee, Lets add a $40.00 per night resort fee. Total taxes and fee and $903 more added to the $516.00 room charge. OMG getting close to triple the price here. I know the last year has been rough but really are the kidding us. While looking I read one casino is add a electricity fee to the cost of the room. Um, I pretty much never go to the room and you want to add another fee? really?

FYI, I decided to not go.

I booked at the Strat for $27+ taxes a night and $74 in resort fees total for two nights, not bad at those rates, $138 total on Priceline, but only staying in a basic room, just because I don’t plan on staying in it except to sleep. Seems like that’s all I ever do when I’m in Las Vegas... is get a few hours of sleep in a hotel room and then always on the go lol

Same here. If i am in the hotel room more than 5 or 6 hours when I am in Vegas its alot. Nice deal on the Strat. For some reason the time I was looking to go was way off the chart. Not sure why that few week span was so crazy. Hopefully next year is more normal.

Depending where you stay, that would be accurate. Its when the other places start pushing that high its odd. I have stayed at the Excalibur for years. In 2019 it was about 60 a night with all the fees. Over $200 a day suddenly for a cheap place is the oddity.
