Hi all,

I didn't see a thread about this topic- bonuses received for online casino... for example, on unibet, I receive lots of deposit and loyalty bonuses but unfortunately not for Poker, SportsBook where I'm more active on the site but for Casino* 888, another site I'm active on, migrated for Romanian players and we also have a lot of casino bonuses there... this bonuses can be quite tough to clear with requirements of 10x-35x times the bonus received and that's why I don't always take them, mostly when I want to have some 'fun' and I'm in a gambling mood, but I still don't like to risk too much and I'm going for slots with low volatility(while the payouts are smaller, you win more often and this can create a more consistent and less stressful gaming experience); for example I usually go for: Starburst, Butterfly Staxx, Crystal Vault... I remember my 1st bonus I cleared was a $500 bonus by playing at Starburst and after hours of play I ended up with like the deposit, plus the bonus and just around +$100 from the actual play* this type of results happened a few more times over the years with +/- $100-200, but overall, if we consider the bonus as profit, I ended up on the positive side pretty much all the time...

I'm curious if other community members receive/ take this casino bonuses and what strategy they use to maximize the chances of transforming this bonuses in real money... or is the best option to just ignore this offers?

I did take casino bonuses on PS when it was still available here. I liked them because you actually play with their money till you lose it, in which case you'll start using your own or stop. But if you keep winning, you get (clear) a certain amount. I really have no idea about the formula they use.

For example, one time they gave me $10 casino bonus, so I started playing blackjack, betting $1 at a time and I happen to have a nice session. Once I reached $20, I started playing 2 hands, $1 each for a while and I was up to $37 when a message popped out saying: Congratulations, you have cleared $80 casino bonus. I looked at my balance and it was indeed added.

It was nice but I have no idea how that works.

Probably not the smartest strategy but usually i have used smallest possible bonus bet in whatever pragmatic/hacksaw/no limit/push gaming slot in order to (try to) meet the (ridicilous) wager requirements - sometimes it's works well enough but other times when deposit goes to waste and casino gets like 10€ richer i have thought that perhaps i should have wagered in netent with 0.40 spins instead

Since you mentioned unibet then no clue what casino offers you get there regularly but as far i have seen we've been receiving some "deposit 10 get 10 free spins" every thursday for a while now (although i havent used this offer that much) ...

Btw i also got 500 casino bonus few years ago which had 6* wager so clearly it was quite rollercoaster since at some point i had like 900 but eventually i finished with 360 or something ...

So yeah guess the wager requirement is probably the major factor whether to stay the heck away from such offers or not - cause eventhough sometimes 3-5* wager (or 10* one) might be unsuccesful it is still better than having like 25/35/45x one ...

I didn't play a lot on Stars, mostly reopened my old account for the CC community games and stopped after... but I did receive a few free casino bonuses too- lower amounts tho, probably because I didn't play much in the casino and/or made too many deposits...IIRC, I received 1 or 2 $5 instant bonuses and a few $1 ones... what I liked too is like you said- the requirements were easy and fast to complete, so the chances to get some extra money were very high 💵

Unfortunately in my country(Romania), we don't have many online choices for any market and Unibet is pretty much the best, especially for recreational gamblers that play pretty much everything: IMO good poker software/ loyalty program/ games(probably a bit controversial but I like the small pool- that is mostly recreational/ weak players* at least at the stakes I play...); pretty much the best odds for Sports Book (also one of the few places in Romania we can watch live streams for most sports events) and very good Casino- I guess this is their main focus as they have lots of offers(maybe it depends on different countries?! the amount you play etc...). About the strategy, 0.4 spins with low bankroll seems a bit aggressive but it depends on the game etc... still, I'm someone that likes low risks or maybe you can call it max pain lol- I usually start from the lowest stake possible(most of the time $0.1) and depends on how the session goes I might increase the stake for awhile and if needed decrease it again... I also agree with you that some bonuses have ridiculous wager requirements- I guess it is what it is, we can't really expect this greedy sites to just give us 'free money'...

Yes, I don't get free spins every day either (usually it's 2 or 4 free spins). But anyway, even a few free spins mean extra money for my bankroll. Considering that PokerStars has removed all freerolls and made its loyalty program more strict, I'm happy even with a promotion like “Spin of the Day.”

You need to be careful sometimes they wont let you withdraw funds if you dont clear the bonus. So you can potentially end up with your poker money stuck while you clear a casino bonus.

This depends very much the site that you are playing casino games on. On 888 casino yes this is the case but im not aware of any others. Its always important to check the conditions first.

With casino games you can wager faster the bonus , but on the other hand I think the danger ho fail is greater , the danger to lose. Both bonus and deposit money . I have cleared dome bonuses through slots , but very small bonuses , so it was pretty easy
