THREE things I learned from the course (they classify as favorite things since one of my favorite things is to expose people who mislead):

1. The title is misleading in the video titled How to Win Without Card Counting: https://www.casino.us/blackjack/academy/how-to-win-without-card-counting/
You just minimize the losses by playing perfect Basic Strategy.

2. Clearly a terrible clickbait title in the video "How to win at blackjack every time," since it first states that it's impossible to win every time and then continues to just ramble some unrealistic, arbitrary number of what happens if you win a certain amount (which is highly unlikely to happen with any consistency). https://www.casino.us/blackjack/academy/how-to-win-at-blackjack-every-time/

3. This is clearly wrong: "Blackjack is a zero-sum game". Maybe if you just look at it at the microscopic level of one bet. But Blackjack only mimics zero-sum transfers hand-by-hand, but because of the house edge, the overall game is not zero-sum in expectation.

Video: https://www.casino.us/blackjack/academy/tips-for-winning-at-blackjack-more/

So, in summary, I learned that they either want to mislead people or don't know what they are talking about in at least the three things I mentioned above.

I have more examples, but I guess you don't want them.

I did not know blackjack was so Indepth. there are much more than 3 things, but the most unforgettable lessons are,

1. You can play at same limit all night and the casino can't raise the minimum because you were playing at that limit when you sat down. https://www.casino.us/blackjack/academy/blackjack-table-rules/

2. The 1326 strategy, I like this because I have a strategy to work with. it's possible to win 4 hands in a row. https://www.casino.us/blackjack/academy/1326-progressive-system/

3.Stick to the math and don't make silly mistakes. never split a winning hand. https://www.casino.us/blackjack/academy/blackjack-mistakes-to-avoid/

I found the course very simple and pleasant to follow.
I've learned 3 things I've never heard of before:

1) The 212-betting strategy:

2) The Blackjack Switch variant:

3) 5/6/7 Card Charlie:

I'm currently stuck in Season 2 of the Blackjack Academy—slow learner here. From reading some posts, I think I may share the same “favorite three things” learned from the course as other players. I’m particularly curious about the 212. 🤔

I’ll figure that out. I only learn by applying the theory into an actual situation. That's how slow I am. So maybe I’ll spend my day off diving deeper into the course -- repeat it again and again. 📚🃏

Just finished all seasons it was really useful course with a lot of details and advices how to properly play blackjack. Definitely recommend these videos to anyone just starting out with blackjack. They’ll give you a great boost in the game and help you avoid many of the common mistakes beginners make

Here is my THREE things what I learned from the course:
- don't drink and play - very important because you can do different mistakes and don't pay enough attention to the game
- different betting strategies to manage your bankroll - some interesting strategies how you manage your lose and make a profit
- to grow the bankroll you need to think monthly and even yearly instead of daily - very good advice for the most people who just started to play

I didn't know a lot for blackjack. So there are many favorite things that I learned in this series
But since you want only 3 , here we go :

1st ) it was interesting to know that card counting is impossible to rng shuffled decks in online casinos . But possible online casinos with live dealers who don't use automatic shuffle of decks all the time .

2nd) I liked the idea of a blackjack strategy chart . Having it in front of me it would make my life easier , since it is hard to remember all rules by heart . Unfortunately the chart in the video is a little confusing (same colour for different decisions or options) . Not so good colourized.

3rd ) I learned the hilo card counting system , very simple , but I don't believe I'll ever be a good card counter , for memory or any other reason ..
So I'll choose as the 3rd best the S8L1 video , where it says how to win without card counting .
Very simple rules , it's good to know these tips , it will decrease losses , make game more enjoyable , maybe also have some wins .
This lesson also includes the bankroll management and betting 5%-20% rule (more explained in another lesson) , which is very essential , especially for beginners

Even though these videos were made into bite sized chunks going through them started to feel like a chore. Listening a season or two in a row soon sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher to my ears.

Now I have learned - and soon will forget :D - more about blackjack than I ever even wanted to.

The claim in the first video is a tall order ...from novice to card counter in eight seasons. Well, I settle for learning the table etiquette.

But the thing that irritated me the most is that I couldn't figure out who this guy reminds me of? If you concentrate just to his voice, the melody of it, doesn't it (at times) sound like George Clooney ???

What I disliked in the series...

The whole 4th season kinda threw me off with all those unnecessary side bet variations. And as said, most of them give a nice edge to the house.
And did you listen the background music in season 6? It's annoyingly restless, and S7 is not much better.

And now the positives...

Season 2 lesson 7 gives out an interesting piece of information. The strategy charts. They exist and even more surprising is that many casinos allow them during play. So we are tinkering with similarities to GTO except we don't need to deviate because of our opponent.

Season 3 lesson 3 (yes, there is an error in their video thumbnail) offers basic bankroll management tips which is a must in this kind of game. They seem to differ from poker's bankroll management a bit so it was good to know how things are different.
And yes, I had to google what the heck is Wagyu o_O

The whole season 8 felt like a quick start guide but if I had to pick (and I do ;)) I'm selecting lesson 6 cause it offers the simplest rule to remember - If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Which of course is true in other areas of life as well.

Casino raise the bet at night (Casinos do this to keep you as a customer)

15 seconds to make your wagers (Avoid taking longer than this, otherwise you will receive a verbal reminder from the dealer)

Read table rules (Avoid sitting at a $100 table and making a $10 bet)

BONUS:
Insure beat (Avoid the insurance bet unless you are an experienced player)

(PS: Although few people sit down to listen, i think it would be nice to have a casino badge here similar to the "30 Day Poker Course Graduate". Just an idea that came to mind now)

It will be probably hardest earned vip chips in my life, because there are tons of videos and was watching for hours.
3 favorite things, my 3 highlights I remembered in chronological order are mentioned in the titles of videos:

1. Blackjack side bets (S4L1 – The Blackjack Academy)
I played blackjack only at 888casino long time ago and can't remember anything about side bets. It's not profitable, because we pay casino 10% of our bets on average, but it adds fun and entertainment. For example, "Perfect Pairs" (two identical cards), we can see on the game table in this video (30 second mark) up to 30:1 potential wins, "21+3" (forming a poker hand with your cards plus the dealer’s up card) and up to 100:1 possible wins.

2. The 212 betting system explained (S5L5 - The Blackjack Academy)
It was really a revelation, something new to me. The 212 betting system provides a structured approach to managing bankroll during blackjack sessions. We start by betting 2 units, then drop to 1 unit after your first win, return to 2 units on the next win, 3 units if we win again and so on. After any loss, reset back to 2 units. This system really seems interesting to me because it capitalizes on winning streaks while limiting damage during losing streaks.

3. Blackjack mistakes to avoid (S8L5 - The Blackjack Academy)
Something to keep in mind always. Five things: don't split tens, never split 5s, don't take insurance, never hit on 17 because it's much more likely to lose than to reach 21 and finally play basic strategy.

Here's what's useful to me
Splitting cards correctly and doubling the bet, I never knew that this is not available everywhere
Newbie mistakes that I consider myself to be, although I sometimes play, only online
It is also useful for me to learn more about insurance and when not to use it

Congratulations, Aru! Good for you! 🎯 Casino Academy has been super helpful providing insightful Blackjack course. The only catch for me is I don’t really have the time—or the interest—to keep going with the course.

Unless, of course, CardsChat decides to host a Blackjack tournament in an NL Hold’em style format in the future—then I might just find the time to jump back in. For now though, I’m still stuck right where I left off. 😅🃏

I learned a lot from the course(I've watched it before knowing about this thread lol * after being introduced to the site from the community Scavenger competition), I wasn't a beginner though and most of the things I knew already but it was nice to revisit and learn quite a few other things... very good work with the Blackjack course... I'll mention this 3 useful/ favorite tips:

1) Special Rules in Blackjack - some rules might not be listed on the table and in most of this cases you will have to ask the dealer(play smarter blackjack)* the Surrender rule is IMO the most important one to pay attention too as this can improve your chances to make a profit by a lot...

2) Bankroll management - this is so underrated for gambling in general(Poker and Sports Betting too) and I like to pay attention to every 'expert' opinion about this subject... I like the 2 questions from lesson 1(Season 3)- Am I going to have fun? and Am I going to make money? , but my favorite episode is the last one (S3 L8) that offers some top tips in managing the bankroll: find tables with 3-2, or even 2-1 payouts; avoid side bets with unfair payouts; ignore blackjack games in casino's favor...

3) The entire Season 5 about Betting strategies is well made and has so many valuable information and IMO it should be bookmarked and watched over and over again before applying some of this strategies to your game(just try some out- lots of free games offered on CasinoUS site where you can test this things without risking real money- and modify things that don't suit your style of play etc.) and hopefully improve your chances to make profit...
