When holding small or medium pocket pairs out of position in cash games, I always find myself second-guessing the best approach.
Do you usually flat-call to set mine, go for a 3-bet to take initiative, or just fold if the open is too large?
I’m curious to know what strategies work best for you, especially against aggressive opponents who love to put pressure post-flop.

From the big blind I usually call, but from the small blind it can be fine to just fold the smallest pairs like 22-55, especially if the opponent is someone, who is unlikely to overplay a hand like top pair postflop.

If 2–3 players enter the pot before me, I usually fold small pairs. But if they all just limp and call the big blind, then why not see the flop?
