If you are a beginner, I would not advise you to rush. Rushing will only lead to losses. Better play and improve your game at the same table.

Don't rush, it's just that when I play more than one table I see a decline in the quality of the game.Playing at one table can be counterproductive as you may become bored and either become distracted or simply play too many hands.2 tables will be exciting enough to keep your attention and also give you the opportunity to watch the tables and think about what actions you want to take.

OP clearly states "I'm no bum. I do have at least one tournament win on acr."

I'm assuming this means that OP feels that they are not a beginner at poker.

OP, there is actually 'table management' software you can use for playing multiple tables online.
Some tournament regulars play upwards of 20 tables simultaneously. (typically across 2 monitors)
