I'm not sure if there is a thread on this already, if there is any help where it's at will be apreciated. So anyway, I need some help on the best way to build a bankroll from a $100? I play on FTP and mostly micro, to low pot limit, and mostly NL games. I do well in MTT, and have been playing for about 2 years or so online, and i'm currently reading books on strategy, but some help with bankroll management would be nice. Thanks guys!

Ps. anyone know anything about face the ace?

May be low pot limit tournaments are the best, but to some limited level-500$ for example. After that-higher tournaments. But the player has to have limit of the lost money too-250$ to decrease the level.

Secured sit and go's, meaning it doesn't turn into a multi-table thing.

Other than that, cash games is it.

10 - 20% of bankroll and grow your biz noce and steady.

That's my advice

GL SamirCyber9!

You Might Want to Check Out BigMacPoker on twitch. He is a Very Good Player and League Captain here on CC and is currently on a challenge to run it from $100 to $1,000.

He is taking an Extremely Disciplined approach of playing no games more than 1/100th ish of his bankroll...

I have total respect for his disciplined approach. He is not trying to Get Rich Quick, but rather just work his way up in stakes as his winnings allow!

I think This Is A Very Cool and Responsible Approach to building a bankroll! But it does require patience!

This is The Way To Do It If You Are Good Enough! If Not, At Least You Approached it Responsibly and Did Not Lose Your Arse, Trying To Get Rich Quick as some want to try to do...

Good Luck At The Tables All,

Be very very patient and disciplined. Set stop wins and stop times. Try to challenge yourself in a cash game to take $100 to 500 or over. If you don't get to 500 or over in an hour or whatever time period then get out.

Cash games should be treated like a robbery. Get the money and get out.

One of the best poker bankroll strategies that I know for low limits includes using no more than 5% of your bankroll when sitting down at a cash table. Whenever you have more than 10% of you bankroll at the table in a session, leave the table and call it a day. If you lose two buy ins, that is also a sign to call it a session and review your play from the day and see if you need to make any adjustments.

This strategy is what Chris Ferguson did in order to freeroll himself to $10,000 in 18 months. Hope this strategy might give you some ideas, and definitely feel free to lookup his complete strategy for any more pointers!

That's some great advice. Thanks, I'll have to look into this myself.

You might want to consider specializing in something and work on that. I dislike holdem, but if holdem is your game then are you good at heads up Sit and Gos(SNGs)? 6 handed SNGs? Full Table? Do you like rebuy tourns? Freezouts? Do you play another variation of poker? What is available at your site? Are there other options if your site doesn't have the game you're best at?

And you need solid results over an extended time to back your ideas of what you think you're good at. I like playing a certain game live and I thought I was good at it but I looked up my results and cringed so you need to see ACTUAL RESULTS. You would be surprised at how people view themselves without the results backing their thesis. Don't fall for that mistake.

And the only advice I can give on bankroll management is to look yourself up on sharkscope and go to the profit graph or "graph". I think of it really simply, if you were to play and then lose that money/buyin resulting in a big crater on your graph at sharkscope or whereever you track yourself then don't play that tourn or sit at that table. The other thing to consider would be if you lost that money how easily or how fast could you win it doing it slowly and consistently grinding? Silly stuff I would think about. No math, no general rules just simple stuff.

GL!!

I think it's worth starting with NL2, gradually raising the bankroll to 200 And then you can connect tournaments for $ 2-3

I made the experience that NL2 is the level that rewards habits, that are not profitable outside NL2. Therefore, be careful not to get into too many habits that you don't need outside of NL2 and stick to a good fudamental play.

Good luck!

I was able to get to a $100 bankroll, starting with just $10, playing NL2. I was partly just lucky, but I tried to follow the strategy.

Hey there Samir!

Here is a video I made specifically on how to build a bankroll in online poker

The big thing is finding the game you're best at, that you enjoy, that you're happy to put volume in and then setting up a schedule that ensures you put in the amount of hands you need to get the results you want.

Studying to improve your game will also help with boosting your expected $$$ won per hand (so that each hand yields a higher expectation.

Here is a playlist I made with most of my best teachings http://gripsed.com/win

Not a long watch and packed dense with quality information.

Hope it helps you!

I was able to hit a $100 bankroll starting at just $10 playing NL2. I was kind of lucky, but I tried to follow the strategy.
At the very beginning, I had a strategy and I followed it

SnG would be a great way to learn ICM strategy for MTT, and cash is great to learn solid fundamentals or to transition live

$20 isn't enough for $2 games for mtt 100-200 buyins is sufficient

If you like your emotional roller coasters giving by texas holdem, bankroll management is useless. Dont manage that at all, and your swinging bankroll gives you the chills )
