Hi All,
I was searching the net for a few statistics and stumbled upon a beauty. I mentioned it in the GAP theory thread but thought it deserved its own thread.
Here's the lowdown:
you can type in a specific hand against a range of other possible hands that opponents might hold.
An interesting stat i got was that against 2 players K Q off is roughly 45% to win preflop against any 2 random hands. This is an amazing tool..another example you can use for it is if you know what kind of hand your opponent might have but not too sure, you can enter a range of possibilities. It calculates equitys from over 6 billion hands!!! Amazing stuff when you think about it.
As no one can really put someone on an exact two cards...this machine will allow you to enter a range of values, such as if you think your opponent might be holding anything from A 9 to A K then this machine will calculate the equity against your hand preflop or post flop.
I read in one of Sklansky's book that he too had a machine like this and said it was indispensable,i can see why now.
I'm not sure if i can give the website out here due to promotion(i'm not connected in anyway) but if you want the address send me a msg and i'll give you the address. You can literally calculate billions of hand possibilities.
Hope some of you guys can gain from this
John
