sitting at $100 NL today just testing out waters and this hand comes up, no hand history and dont know exact bet amounts but I will do my best.

I open raise from EP with Jd8d (yes that is loose but had tight image and had only shown down good hands), get call from what I consider weak player.

flop is like A84 I fire pot size and he calls

pot is now about $20

turn I believe is a Q again I almost pot it maybe $16 and he calls

pot is $52

I believe river paired low card on board, it either paired on turn or river it dont matter. This guy is weak tight so I dont see him having trips there.

on river he bet $7????? wtf is that it looks like a blocking bet to me right? now i have no showdown value here I know my hand is no good so I bet $35 back at him. He thinks for awhile put me on AQ and I took down pot, I showed him of course to piss him off, i do that alot at low limits so they will stack off. And yes he stacked off, I would never show higher limits but you could tell the low limit players exactly how you play and it wouldnt make difference.

anyway I think this play was fine. Im not doing it everytime but with him being such weak player betting like that I think its either make the move or fold. Only way im winning that is to get him off his ace right?

true. people block bet & usually wont call a huge raise after that. like a straight on a board where turn/river came runner runner for backdoor flush or paired the board or something akward.
