After 3 limpers, hero raises from Button. Only the CO calls. Flop comes 893 rainbow followed by a CB. CO jams. No profile on V. Is this semi-bluffing, betting an overpair or something else? With two cards looming, is a Hero call in order?

In addition to this I would probably not C-bet a board like 983 rainbow with AK. The hand is to in between making it difficult to get a better hand to fold or a worse hand to call. I would much rather take a free card and then make a decision on the turn. AK high has showdown value on a board like this but does not want to play a big pot.

Also if the opponent is short enough to check-jam in a pot limit game, then I would definitely check back, since I do not want to face this kind of action and be blown off my equity or forced to call it off usually drawing to 6 outs at best. This is a situation, which is very common in tournaments, and you really do not want to C-bet any in between hand, when the opponent is short enough to check-jam.

As already mentioned if you want good feedback, you need to provide a good hand history. For instance nobody can answer, if its a call on the turn as played without knowing the pot odds, you were getting. Its like asking "Someone is offering to sell me a Toyota Corolla, should I accept the offer?" without saying anything about the model year, mileage, equipment, condition, asking price or intended use of the vehicle. There is a guide here:

yeah I tend to not comment on threads that I find non-properly presented almost out of principle, I think we should create incentives for people to put effort into hand histories. E.g., I think they should either have colors or card icons ( :10c4: etc.) and they definitely should mention whether it's live or online, this one doesn't even do that.

It's a c/r shove? I thought this was a donk shove.

But yes, would need to know more info from OP.

But without more info just have to fold it. With an overpair this is a call. Rarely is a donk shove a big made hand.

I assume, that CB is short for C-bet.

That depends on the pot odds, and since its a pot limit game (according to the post header), presumably Hero was at least getting 2:1? If we have 2 free overcards to a hand like T9-Q9, we need around 3:1. There are also draws like JT or 76, which we more or less chop with, but against K9-A9 we only have 3 outs, and against two pair or sets we are drawing nearly dead. So I think, we can only call up to around half pot, and since we dont know the pot odds, we cant give an answer.
With an overpair this is a call.
Absolutely and also with top pair.

Another point about more info--- if CB is C bet how much was it? Did you pot that flop or was it 1/3 pot vs a short stack?
