Player banned from Hustler Casino for cheating on the live stream.

Hustler Casino banned a player, "Skillrocks", for cheating after reviewing their High Stakes live stream after the session had ended.

Skillrocks was behaving erratically and many viewers were noting he appeared to be peeping at his neighbors cards several times. The hand which raised was stink when was he somehow managed to fold two pairs against a straight but was noted as kicking another player to his right which made the commentators ask on live air if he was colluding.

If you weren't watching the full stream, it's a little hard to follow this all go down (it is indicated when to watch) as things are a little frenetic.

Anyways, Skillrocks has accepted the ban and admitted acting sketchy. But it begs the question, how thoughtless do you have to be to try to scam on a live broadcast watched by thousands?

Precisely.

This guy looked dodgy from the off. Very hyper, a lot of table talk with an aggro edge at times. If I had been watching the stream live I think I would have guessed he was on drugs, he looked too amped up.

But kudos to Hustler casino for dealing with it immediately and then saying, no more.

In fairness it is the obligation of players to protect their cards at all time. But even so deliberately trying to peek at other players cards is certainly unethitical and sketchy behaviour, so the ban is completely appropriate. As for the hand its not as clear cut cheating as some of the Postle hands, since he did lose to some better two pair as well as the turned straight. But even so with an SPR this low, folding two pair on the turn is certainly very tight, especially if the three of them had been battling a bit.

yep, I saw the video, and in a few instances that are shown on camera) Skillsrocks intentionally lean out and to the left to take a look at the cards. big NONO> Also, Skilrock laters kick another player under the table to let him know that Barry has a big hand. Skillsrock was definitely targeting Barry.
At one time a player at my table was reckless and the way she looked at cards, both me and the player to her right could see the hole cards. We both, almost at the same time let the lady know that we can see her cards. Don't be a douchbag people, cheating may get you ahead, but it won't get you far.

Protect your hands at all times. I have told players next to me plenty of times that I can see their cards, and I wasn't even trying to look at their cards. The best policy when looking at your hand is to assume the players on either side of you are complete crooks.

Sound advice. Particularly if the player next to you is incessantly acting in a belligerent manner, swearing and talking. to put you and others off their game.

What struck me is 'Skillrocks', douche or not, is obviously a practiced player with a routine. I have no experience of sitting at a table with that sort of atmosphere but, I'd like to think alarm bells would be going off inside my head, even if it was just setting up as an unpleasant session.

I've had the opportunity to see a player's cards because they're not protecting them... but I'm the kind of person who will actually tell them that they're revealing their cards so they can modify their behavior.

It is the lowest type of human who takes advantage of these things, but we all should realize that live poker rooms are filled with these type of people. I know I'm in the minority. Right or wrong, a live poker room is basically the epitome of the cliche "dog eat dog" or "every man (or woman) for themselves". Poker is a predatory game, but I will always be a believer in ethics and morals and good sportsmanship no matter what anybody else would do.

I think she got nervous and just wanted to get her stack in - and succeeded with her bottom two pair. And of course she gets the call and counterfitted and loses. And she just pulls out another 20k from her purse!

She made the stupid "i guess i'm all in" comment to distract from how strong her action was. Although I agree with Bart that it was really her only move because the bet was so big relative to her stack. Do these players all know each others tendencies?

The other situation - the backdoor flush at 100% didn't really need to pull that stunt/trick to win the hand - he just needed to call - but to me he seemed to be concerned about a higher flush because his villain shoved OOP.

So all he really did is punish the villain for bluffing. I wonder how long it was or will be before the villain bluffs again? lol

JDog should be penalized for lying to the floor.

Angleshooting is not cheating. Its just something, which many consider unethical and bad table manners, kind of the same as slowrolling. About the Pokerbunny incidence I agree with Bart Hansson, that if this was an angle, it was like a 2 on a scale from 1 to 10. Is it possible, she pretended to be confused about her stack size to make her jam look weaker? Sure. But it is also possible, that she actually was confused about her stack size. She is after all only 23 years old and was totally unknown in the poker world, until she recently started playing these streams.

At the end of the day players will always try to act weak, when they are strong and strong, when they are weak. This is just part of live poker, and its a really fine line between, when its just "table talk", and when its an angle. Basically live players just need to to abstract from all of this and focus on the fundamentals of the hand. Regardless if she thought, she had less behind or not, this is the size, he had to call, so just make a range based decision and go from there

Unethical totally , plus stupid to do it on live stream . They did the right thing to ban him . And of course the other player should have been more carefull at seeing and protecting his cards

One interesting outcome is Skillrocks will face increased scrutiny everywhere he plays. I doubt we will get to hear about it, but I am sure other casinos will have seen Skillrocks blowing himself up on a live stream and will be monitoring him every time he plays.

Even just his whole table antics were way over the top. As you say, he was way to pumped up and almost looked and acted like, he was on drugs. This is not the kind of behaviour, any poker room wants to see on their live stream, and even without the peeking at cards it could have been enough for him to not be invited back.
