You know that moment when the month’s ending, your account’s dry, and every little notification feels like a bill saying “yo, pay me”?
I was chillin’, playing my usual MTTs, slow grind, manifesting that one nice score like I’m praying to the poker gods.
Then rent hits. Electricity. My mom asking if I “already sent that Pix.”
And suddenly I’m in hustle mode.
Outta nowhere I’m playing cash tables like I’ve always loved them. Zoom, reg tables, 5NL - 10NL $USD — whatever gives me that bb/hour.
But not just online…
One friend texts:
“Bro, wanna pull up for a home game tonight? 0,50/1,00 R$, should be soft.”
Me: “Say less.”
Next thing I know, I’m grinding home games, reading drunk guys like it’s live poker training camp.
And when I’m not playing? Guess what — I’m dealing.
Yeah. Freelance dealer now too. R$ 20/hr, sometimes free pizza, and tips if I’m charming. That’s what I call multi-tabling real life.
It’s wild how creative we get when the pressure hits. MTTs feel like a luxury. Cash and side gigs? That’s survival mode.
And real talk — I’m kinda proud. Turned end-of-the-month stress into side quests that actually paid off. That feeling of genuine gratitude after work it's amazing
The poker dream ain’t always glamorous… but it sure builds character. And sometimes it pays the internet bill too.
Anyone else got those desperate end-of-the-month poker hustle stories? Or am I the only one out here moonlighting as dealer-slash-grinder just to keep the lights on? 😂
