Some players swear by late registering to skip the early levels, while others say you lose too much value.

Do you believe late reg is profitable in the long run?

How do you adjust your play when coming in with a short stack versus deep?

Does late reg strategy differ between online and live tournaments?

I prefer late registration in online games, there are some players who bet all in to accumulate chips at the start. These types of players lower the quality of the tournament and some are eliminated early on, so these types of players with late registration are avoided.

Am at the middle, non late finishing (blinds gonna be monsters for initial stack), non starting (a lot of people playing out of range)

21 more posts to get to your first 100 and access to more freerolls.
Oh there are freerolls for certain amount of posts? So that is why so many threads and replies I see are so NPC-ish, just repeating the same 10 questions over and over? (exactly like this useless thread that was already answered multiple times very recently). OP should be taken out of the freeroll access list, this is just spam.

Can work and cannot. If you double up a few times early then you can save mental energy in a tournament. It is easier to register earlier and build a stack that way. Put it this way, late reg is a risk.

The minimum requirement to get upgraded to platinum level is 100 "quality posts". It is an individual assessment though, and OP is still only bronze level, so apparently his upgrade has not been approved yet. It also seems like, at least for a while he was limited to 1 post per day, so moderators are aware of the problem ;)

In the long term it is very profitable if you enter with 40 BB. But there are players who don't know how to play when they're short and have a hard time.

Entering in late registration is not good, ever.

This is the best scenario. All I want is this kind of player. Extract how much you can, double up and keep going

By registrating late you'll never be able to build a large stack, and there already would be large guys putting pressure on you with their large stacks.

Also on GGPoker they provide bubble protection for some tournaments, if you registered before the start and got eliminated at the bubble, they'll return buy-in cost
